I'm finishing up painting some Night Scythes for a friend. The bases are all done up and I want to spray them with matte sealer like I do on all my models & bases. Should I block off the actual stand? Would it knock off the shine on the clear part, or make it weirdly fogged? I'm afraid it'll wind up looking like clear plastic with super glue all over it or something, but I would perhaps be interested in it being less shiny.

Thx!

Awesome, thanks guys. I'll spend the couple minutes to tape them off first.

Quicker than tape, just put some saran wrap on the flight stand and boom ready to go.
