What is the best thing to use to strip the paint but not ruin the model (not that the model is in particularly good condition)?
I'm based in the UK (for products).

I uses nail polish remover (any brand) and a toothbrush.
I pour some nailpolish remover into a small cup and dip the tooth brush into it and leaving some in the bristle rub it across the model, after a few passes the paint should start to come off fairly easily, just repeat the process till the paint is gone.

It will remove superglue and greenstuff though as well and don't go crazy on the nail polish remover as it can slightly affect the resin, although I've never had a problem with this and I've stripped over 30 models with the process for my guard and marine armies.
