Hey guys I am looking to build my own oblitorators and I am stuck on which bodies would be best to use. I was thinking terminators but someone said to me they should be the size of centurions.

So can someone suggest a body to aim for, I can buy terminators out of my local indy shop for £1 a go but centurions are a bit too expensive for me at the moment.

They will be MoN normally so I will make them up this way but do I need to show all of the weapon variations or is it ok to have say a plasma cannon as a left arm and the right one merging between a lascannon and assault cannon?

2000+ points, but I think I know how to use them

Use whatever you would like just make sure the base is the right size. I asked the same question awhile ago because I do not like the GW model and one suggestion was to put 3 havocs on a Oblit base. Find what you think looks best and use that.

I've seen them done based on terminators.
Before Centurions came along it was theorised that that's what they originated from.
However now that FW have released preview pictures of Myrmidons, I think this is where they came from (which is possibly FW reverse engineering them):

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

id go for Ogre Kingdom Leadbelchers,Adding gun barrels to the ends of there hands and on the shoulders while adding boils and scars where they are attached to the skin, (if ur going nurgle) If not just mount them and wire up with guitar string.and replace the heads
A pack of 4 is £5.75 each model. If you have greenstuff and bitz box with heavy weapons at hand id see them only costing about £25 for 4 models!, beats 3 for £30+, Ew finecast...

Chaos Spawn bodies.

Use Terminator legs and shoulder pads to get the right silhouette.

The IG sentinel and HW team kits both come with a tonne of spare heavy weapons to incorporate.

Got the weapons thanks to my local (Worcester Wargames, thought I would give Andy a mention) has loads of spares that I have raided to get the guns sorted, just cannot pick a body to go for.

I have had a look for spawn bodies and they look a bit like the corpse horror bodies so I can convert up my spare parts from them
