I'm working on a WH40K 1000pt Ork list for a local tournament and I was hoping if I could get some feedback on the list I'm thinking about running since it'll be my first WH40K tournament.

The rules for the tournament are thus:
Mission - Carnage 4 player mission
Points Level - 1000 points
General Restrictions - Main Codex army only (no allies, fortifications, data slates etc.)
FOC Restrictions Must take one HQ choice (one model w/equipment only). Must take two troop choices (with relative equipment and/or transports)
May take up to one each of Elites, Fast Attack, or Heavy Support (with relative equipment and/or transports)
May take up to four additional troop choices ( with relative equipment and/or transports)
Army Restrictions
May not include unique or one of a kind equipment, war gear, characters, or squad upgrades

My list is this:
(HQ) Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun and Ammo Runt
(Elite) Lootas x10
(Troop) Deff Dread with CCW and Rokkit Launcha and Armour Plates
(Troop) Shoota Boyz x30
(Troop) Slugga Boyz x26 + PK Nob
(FA) Dakkajet with Red Paint Job, Flyboss, Additional twin-linked supa shoota
(HS) Looted Wagon with Boomgun, 2 big shootas, 'Ard case

Which brings me to 1000 points. Can I get some feedback on this?

You got 3 points to spend, ammo runt for the big mek! Reroll dat scatter when you get that high str as for the rest of the list, i think you are better of making both ork squads shoota boyz.
Dakkajets works best in pairs so either skip the looted wagon and get another dakkajet, or skip the wagon for more boyz and maybe another dread considering the same rule of multiplies, it works best in pairs!

Waagh like a bawz

jakkajets may work best in pairs but at 1000 points i don't think that mantra is necessarily scripture.

I love your list, its really fun and orky, and I love running my looted wagon and shokk attack gun. However, those units are so unreliable, they are usually the backup to my normal ones.

My shokk attack gun has blown himself up twice, and teleported himself across the board a few times. Really random stuff for your warlord. and that looted wagon is awesome, but with BS 2 expect that thing to scatter.

For a more reliable list I may suggest swapping out the looted wagon for a battlewagon, and swapping out your big mekk for a warboss. Then just load as many boys on to that battlewagon as possible.

But even without those changes, I think this list would be super fun to play.

The problem is that I only own enough Shoota boyz to make one full squad. And if you look at the tournament rules I posted above my list, you'll see that I can only take one of each FA, HS, Elite slots so I can't have two Dakkajets And the only FA models I own are the Dakkajet, 3 biker boyz, and 1 wartrakk with rokkit launcha. So I went with the flyer.

And thanks for pointing out the Ammo Runt.. I completely forgot about that.. Adding that to my list.

Give shootaboyz bigshootas. U can take them off the wagon without any problems. Deff dread with rokkit launcha?.. Why not scorcha? And armor plates are generally a waste of points. Though, they look orky!

Why take them off the wagon? And the Deff dread has a rokkit launcha because that's how I built it. And why are armor plates a waste of points?

i enjoy having big shootas on my wagon. Good for weapon destroyed results so I dont lose my boomgun. Also, a 36" range is nothing to sneeze at, and you can often fire both the big shootas and the boomgun. I say keep the big shootas.

The armor plates are situational though. I've never run with them, and would instead like to use the points to add more big shootas around the board.

I would lose the red paint job - you don't really need it on the dakka jet. The shock attack gun is rather lackluster IMO - he always kills himself with me. I would run the cover save generator or a boss on bike with pk and bosspole or warphead and with the points saved put another nob with pk with other squad and potentially lose the looted wagon for anther dakka jet and hopes of getting free waaaaghs with your warphead
