I am not a competitive player as more than half of the fun for me is the model modding and painting however after leaving my ork army to sleep for 2 years I am looking to get some new models. I figured I might as well try and get something I dont have and that is worth the purchase.

To help here is a rough vanilla run down of my current units. Each full unit as a leader (ex nobs for boyz squad)
4 full squad of boyz
1 full squad of nobs
1 full squad of stormboy
1 full squad of burna
1 full squad of loota
1 full squad of meganobs
1 full squad of kill kan
1 full squad of warbike (with a converted wazdakka)
1 full squad of deffkoptas
1 deff dread
2 warboss
1 painboy
1 weirdboy
1 trukk
3 big guns

Any idea on what would be good? Was thinkingaybe flash gitz and converting a warboss into badrukk or perhaps a looted imperial tank.

That's a lot or orks.

Really, the only recommendations that I would give is to pick up any of the following (in order of my recommendation):

1. 2-3 Battlewagons

2. Lobbas

3. 1-2 more Trukks

4. Another squad of Lootas

5. Dakkajet(s)

6. Tank Bustas (they're fun in casual play)


Currently, flashgits are not that good and I would put them as the very last choice for Ork Heavy Support

you would take battlewagons before a looted tank? I never used either but I ll take yur advice thanks.

although to take into consideration this is vastly over 3k worth of points and I never used them all at once. I kust modify my army depending on what or who I play against.

Looted Wagons are decent; however, Battlewagons are an AV14 open topped transport with a capacity of 20. They are amazing at getting your boyz up the field and into combat quickly. You can use them as if they were tanks if you want (as they are on par if not slightly better than looted wagons) but most ork players I know prefer them as just large capacity transports. Being open topped is always great not only for being an assault vehicle but also because of the fact that all troops inside can fire their weapons. 20 shoota boyz (40+ shots) coming out of a battle wagon is scary. Even loading up burnas into it and placing the same flame template on the same squad for each burna can wipe just about anything you throw at it.

hum that is quite interesting. It would require me to dwindle my usual 30 shoota to 20 but that would free up the points for the battlewagon. that or like you said, burn baby burn!
