The New tyranids book is out, and the Tervigon is no longer a Character.

The brb says on pg 111, "your warlord must be your highest Leadership HQ character."

It may or may not actually mean "character" but just using the word as for a single model.

But with the Tervigon (and maybe other Dex's with the same thing, An HQ that isnt a Character) If it is your ONLY Hq choice for your armor, can it actually be your Warlord.

I know in friendly games it will be, BUT Im looking for actually RAW on this and not RAI.

You need a warlord RAW. There are many non-character HQ choices out there but they are supposed to not be the warlord.
Character is not the same or even close to single model unit. Look at the character rules in the brb.

Single model units often contain characters but not all of them are characters.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

I was saying not a single model unit but more as in a HQ in general if there is no character choice HQ.

Still doesnt answer the question.

The warlord rules say it must be a character and you need a warlord. So if you cannot have a warlord you have an illegal list. You quoted the rules, is the tervigon a character? If no, why do you think it can be a warlord.

No, the Tervigon cannot be your warlord.
A list with a Tervigon as the only HQ is not a legal list.

I get that and that is what I was thinking to, But I wouldnt say no to someone with a lower point list or a new player that doesnt have many models yet.

Why does it hurt to dbl check something to make sure Im playing, telling other players and planning things correctly? You want me to spread bad rules or would you rather I dbl check ?

I thought thats what this forum was about, and maybe other players didnt know that, read this and learned something new too.

I wasnt Sure, I wanted to make sure Im reading everything correctly.
