Power Klaw - Slugga - Cybork - Bosspole - 'eavy

2x10 Lootaz

2x 18 Ork Boyz. Nob w/Big Choppa

10 Gretchin (Backfield objective holder, stays in reserves)

2x Battle Wagon

Basically, we load da wagonz with da boyz and da Boss, cruise up field while the Lootas lay down S7 fire and keep heads down, we get out and begin punching the gak out people. Sound good?

i believe you need a runtherd if you have more than 10 gretchin in a mob.

Also battle wagons w/ no weapons get immobilized if they would get a weapon destroyed hit on them. look to add a big shoota to each one just to prevent that

Might want to consider swapping one of the warbosses for a Big Mek w/ KFF so your boyz have a better chance to get in unscathed

gretchin auto come with a runtherd 40p for that group.
And as Gamefreak mentiond... Battlewagon is only worth with a defrolla and a big shoota atleast when first taking them.

I think the hard part is squeezing in two HQs in 1000 points.

No use for a bigchoppa on a nob. Go for a klaw.

If this list comes up against anything that can punch the snot out of 18 ork boyz without a power klaw in CC it'll have problems. Chaos Marines and Space Wolves come to mind.

Another option is to swap the big mek w/ kff with a big mekk and shokk attack gun and stick him on either a group of lootas or a group of gretchin for some long range shenanigans.

Well I won my first game against Tau! Ork Warbosses really clean gak up, I loved it. And Deffrollas are seriously too much fun... Wasn't overly impressed with Lootas but most of it was bad luck.

So question, where do I go from here? I'll certainly add more Lootas. I'm stuck between twin Dakkajets, or a Nob Biker mob. Suggestions?

Battlewagons are awesome. Deffrolling big nasty stuff to death is super satisfying.

I'd opt for the dakkajets since you don't use a biker warboss. The leadership boost really helps nobs, especially in a small unit of bikers like that.

Also, I never let my power klaw wielding Warboss leave home without his attack squig. That extra attack is worth it every time. I guess you're already pretty tight points-wise though, might not be worth it to sacrifice a loota...

Yeah real tight for points, the AS wouldn't be able to squeeze in. Getting the Biker Boss isn't an issue! I'm really leaning towards this config:

Biker Boss : PK , Cybork, BP, 'eavy Armour
5 Biker Nobz : 3 with Big Choppas , 2 with Power Klaws, all 'eavy armour (I'm thinking about dropping this, seems almost redundant given the +4 Cover), and a Painboy.

I like the Dakkejets but the way a PK krumps ANYTHING is sooo satisfying.

The bike actually confers a 4+ armor anyway, so you don't need to worry about getting it. What you do need though is to buy them all the cybork upgrade. Also don't worry about the big choppas, having 3 PKs in there will clean up enough things anyway. Use those points to add a Waaagh Banner.

I love the bikernobs, they are the focal point of my Ork army

One thing you could have done to improve the list was split the Lootas into 5/5/6. Generally speaking, you want more units rather than less to even out the # of shots and allow more target selection.

If you take Biker Nobz, Biker Bosses, or MANz/MA Bosses, definitely consider Kombi-Skorchas. Ludicrous amounts of damage for 5 points, its simply ridiculous

Orks are definitely on par or even top tier at low points, but you will find the army loses some effectiveness at higher amounts. 1850 in particular gives everyone else their toyz but doesn't let us take more Force Slots.... a bad place for da boyz

I added the Waaagh! banner and rounded off some slots and am still left with 15 points, so I'd like to keep the big choppas! I really dig STR7 at Initiative on the charge!
