So, the great chap over at Underground Lasers is running his second Kickstarter to expand his business with another laser and more product.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/772848122/underground-lasers-2-28mm-miniature-tabletop-terra
More buildings/ containers/ scatter terrain, etc. A new train for Paradiso missions in Infinity, blah blah. Buncha cool stuff for a great price.
Go check it out!

The stuff I got in the first KS was great, I've backed this one as well. Has a new range of 3x3x3 gear designed just for Deadzone too.

Some cool designs there.
I think the cubes work out as more expensive than the actual hard plastic terrain was during the DZ kickstarter, though.

The main limitation, I think, is that most of the stuff is being cut on one or two sheets of 8.5x10.5" MDF. So if you're just looking for square footage of terrain, plastic cubes could be better.
On the other hand...
That's what I'm pledged for.

Yes I agree that the plastic terrain is cheaper, MDF and HDF do feel a bit heavier on the table so they don't get knocked around as much. and yes i cut all my sheets to letter size for ease of shipping so I am limited by that format. material cost is minimal at about 50 cents a sheet, real cost is laser time peer sheet.
Once i get the new faster laser I can cut down on production times and lower my prices a bit.
Ohhh and wait till you see the "planet gate" It has more acrylic than the radar dish =)

That's actually a very good point, especially for those of us with insanely clumsy opponents

Ugh, wish I'd caught an EB. Shipping is a deterrent (totally justified though).
My last pledge is still sitting in the box (no space and no time yet), but my need for Infinity terrain that I may or may not ever use is insatiable!

If I want just that, what exactly do I need to pledge?

It counts as 1 Option, and the cheapest you can go in for is $55 for 5 option. Looks like he has some other fun stuff planned so you might find a use for the other four options before it's all done. Automatically Appended Next Post: Or you could get someone to add it to their pledge for $10.

I'm pretty terrained out right now so I won't be backing, but I backed the first KS and I can say the product was great and on time (actually very early) for me. Communication was great throughout, and whenever there was a wrinkle, they were upfront about it and discussed any issues people had. The last bit of the project shipped about 2 weeks later than the estimated delivery, which is pretty spectacular for any kickstarter let alone a company starting out.
If I needed more terrain, I'd absolutely back underground again.

Yeah, I dropped in for the $170 early buy-in this time. Gonna split it with a buddy who's using his 10 slots to make a train for Infinity missions.
I'm going to be getting a bunch of scatter terrain for my table.. maybe some of the other stuff, depending on what comes out.
I have about $250 worth of Bug Hunt Corridors coming to me in June/July, so I'll need some LOS blockers for all those corridors
Oh.. you can buy extra slots for higher level options, and the slots cost less the higher the buy in level. For example, they're $8 at my level.
I have a couple of the regular, and one of the wide containers from the first kickstarter. Excellent construction, and great pricing.
