I realize that its wishful given that the rumored starter is going to be orks (again, woo!) but what do you all feel the chances of getting a swarm (horde?) box for orks are?

What would it include if we used the swarm box as a guideline?

Honestly I'd expect to see more of a ig guard swarm box then anything.

I expect them to make a box like that for all codices they release. At least i wait for the space wolves release before buying anything. If they dont release a box like that for my precious puppies i can still get the old battleforce.

The Orks will probably get such a box when they get a new codex.
Judging from the Dark Elves, Tyranids and Space Marines, GW intends to replace the battleforces with these boxes.
If the Dwarfs also get such a box we can be pretty sure about that.

If the swarm box sold well, you'll probably see more. They are a business, after all.

Warboss, Nobs, Boyz, maybe stormboyz?
If you have plastic kits for those that is.

I would suspect that it'll end up being similar to the old Ork Megaforce box.

I wonder who said that the next starter will be Orks again? AOBR was the last one and I doubt that GW will now release orks every second box.

However, I think we'll get a bundle when the new codex hits the shelve. I hope this time it will be something without bikers. Too damn expensive for what they do. Would much rather see some killa canz or a flash gitz set (with hopefully fixed rules).

Bought 2 of these and a set of AoBR orks to get my army started. Such a great deal, especially for the bikers.

I think it’s less a question of “IF” and more of what price, and contents.

The tyranid swarm is $170, while the SM strikeforce is $225. Using those as our end points, we have ~$50 of flex. It’s also worth noteing that both these boxes offer significant discounts. So if you are wishlisting what’s in the box, it should probably be around $300, plus or minus.

While I don’t think the nid box had any of the new sculpts, the SM one did include 2 of the new tac squads. So while inclusion of the new kits is not guaranteed, it’s also not off the table. I haven’t been paying much attention to what’s on the radar for orks, so don’t know how that will affect your box. As long as it’s plastic, it could be in there

Price from $170 to $265 on the Tyranid Swarm today :(

I noticed when I went to GW’s site today it had switched my country to Australia. I switched it back, and the prices returned to normal. And then I felt bad for the guys living down under.

Uhm... so what now? Here in Germany we get the box for 135€. Factor 1.35, that would be somewhere around 180 USD, give or take (can't be assed to start calc).
