I decided to have a go at using the tyranids for a short time and my first battle with them is against the space marines in a game of purge the alien.

Thanks for the report, very unfortunate about those charge distances...

Seems like Lysander is a decent combatant, too!

Ugh, and random charge range continues to ruin games.

Screw this edition, srsly.

Well you had some bad luck but you were in the running all the way down the line. The Imperial army list was one really tough nut to crack. The Raveners had the worst luck of all but they could have easily been a game changer. Of all the Tyranid batreps I've read with the new release this is the most encouraging for me. If you give it time I think you could crack it.

OK

This is a good Tyranid batrep for the fact that the only reason you lost is because you were repeatedly unlucky and he was repeatedly lucky. If you made any of those key charges it would have been game changing, and Lysander probably should have gotten killed by all those carnifexes.

Random charges really are the only thing that are keeping massive melee armies in check it seems. Of course this doesn't bother me much.

Thanks guys. I can't help but feel this shows that you either have to go or melee or none. If I took adrenal glands on the fexs instead and had hormagaunts instead of termagants the force probably would have worked better over all.

Sorry my friend. Failing the majority of your charges by 1 was brutal to read about. Seems like you played well in the face of that though. Good report!
