Just thinking if a character is on a mount and uses a buff does it effect his mount as we'll?

Ie: empire general on griffon with wizard hat, has lore of fire, will his augments benefit both?

Cheers?

It depends on the writing
For instance Wyssan's Wildform does affect the whole unit, mounts included
Savage Beast is up to debate as it targets the character(s) but affects the model(s)
and so on

on the forum. Obviously

I have a somewhat related question.

If a cannon ball hits a ridden monstrous mount, do you resolve the hit against the monster, or do you randomize first between the character and the monster?

Both are hit, as per page 105 of the main rulebook. But on the flipside if they are hit by something like a stonethrower with multiple strengths then only one of them is hit by the high strength and the other is hit with the low strength.
