Loving the plasma guns, but for whatever reason the muddy feet just aren't doing it for me. It just looks slap-dashed on at the last minute, even though it probably is accurate to 'real world' mud.

Those are some awesome iron hands!!!!

QFT. Also, the bases don't seem to fit on some of the models. Otherwise nice work

I'm not sure about some of the OSL. For example the dread at the end, right next to the plasma cannon the armour has no OSL on it, yet above it on the arm (mostly out of view of the cannon) has lighting on it. It looks very unnatural. Same for the headlights (OSL round the side where it would be blocked by the casing)

The reason the armour doesn't have lighting on it is because the plasma cannon is a removable arm and I assume it hasn't been glued in place. So, if you were to put the autocannon arm onto that thing, or vice versa then it'd look stupid because there's OSL on the armour that shouldn't be there, because you've done it just for the plasma cannon.

Agreed on the OSL in general though, it's just too bright and ruins the dank colour of the models..
Also agreed on the bases, the colour of the mud doesn't match the base, and it does look a bit last second as there isn't full coverage where you'd expect it

Great looking Iron Hands models and Ferrus Manus looks amazing!

I'm definitely not digging the plasma glow. The OSL is just too intense for my tastes. Still, good colors. Nice flesh tones.

30k Iron Hands for the win. I did my own slight too Metallic, and am going to paint a bit more black on them. I also bought my FW Marines early, well before the nice Legion stuff came out. I'm grabbing some of the newer stuff and going to re-paint them slightly and mix in the newer MkIII stuff.

Your stuff has inspired me, I think OSL works with IH because their simple unfussy colour scheme is complemented by the Bluish Glow it adds a layer of interest to what would be on it's own a prosaic model. OSL on say fussy models like Grey Knights or Dark Angels always seems IMHO to be a tad over the top.
