That does indeed seem like a nasty list.
just be sure that if your opponent takes somthing like an ironclad, that you keep that armorbane acolyte out of los.

That does look pretty killy. I'm assuming in KT you can take multiple INQ henchmen units without needing inquisitors.
Also, I don't know if the KT rules clarify on this, but what about throwing in a Jokero with the shooty acolytes? It's probably going to get a nice buff (assuming it applies to the rest of the squad), and at the very least gets you a 15 point LC/MG/HF.

Cheers for the replies guys! When I realised I could get upto 6 plasma guns and lots of 5pt bolters in there I knew Inquisition were the way to go!
Jokero are 35pts I think which is too much of a luxury despite their buffs.
Should I drop a DCA and get another plasma acolyte do you think?

As you can't take coteaz or an inquisitor in the list, you're technically not allowed to take any henchmen in a list.
I could be wrong, but I was sad myself when I came to that conclusion with my stormtroopers.

You can take henchmen as elites in codex inquisition. There is no requirement in the codex for an inquisitor, aside from the compulsory hq slot. But if we are saying that you cannot take a unit because the compulsory hq slot is not filled (eg you cant take sternguard because you have not filled the compulsory hq slot) then every kill team list is illegal since you cannot take hq slots to begin with. Automatically Appended Next Post: In fact, apart from inquisitors and transports, there are absolutely no other units in codex inquisiton aside from henchmen.

Well in Codex Grey Knights you can take henchmen as troops IF you take coteaz, you can take one henchmen squad as an elite IF and PER inquisitor in your army.
Similarly, I can't take Tyrant Guard in my tyranid kill team because their entry says I can take one IF and PER tyrant in my army.
It's not about fulfilling the HQ requirement, it's about fulfilling the unit entry requirements. Automatically Appended Next Post: As long as Codex Inquisition does not say that you can take a henchmen squad as an elite IF/PER Inquisitor, then yes, you're allowed to take one henchmen squad as your kill team. The leader isnt a specialist. He is one of the henchmen, just like an acolyte. There is nothing different unit type wise between a DCA and an acolyte.
You may take henchmen in codex inquisitor with no requirements for having an inquisitor... aside from the 1 compulsory hq slot.

Sorry, thought I was reading that the leader DCA had shred.
Then the list looks legal and I'm happy for it.
I love the henchmen "create-a-unit" feel.

You can take henchmen as a unit of elites from codex inquisition with no Inquisitor or Coteaz required, however I believe your maximum unit size is 10, and you can only have one elites choice in kill team lists so you're over capacity by 13 models?
I'd have to double check my codex to be sure though
Edit: 3-12 models is the unit size sorry.
Edit again: As an anti armour instead of giving a plasma armourbane (its already fairly anti tank and will get shot at) you might want to consider giving a bolter haywire, that way its essentially becomes another special weapon
You also have 2 too many plasmas since you have to buy the unit as a squad initially and are limited to 3 acolytes with armoury access

If Codex Inquisition is your primary then henchmen count as troops choice? or just count as scoring?

Scoring sadly, the Inquisition organisation chart is upto 2 HQ and 3 ELITES which are scoring if primary, they have no other force organisation choices.

In kill team you may pick elites. Therefore they do not need to be troops. They will also be scoring if they are primary. I picked two squads which can be upto 12 men each. They can have upto 3 plasma guns each so 6 would have been viable.
However, the only point that has been made which does make this list illegal is that you can only have one elite slot for kill teams. Because they were scoring I was thinking of the 2 allowed TROOP not elite slots. It does limit the force only being able to be 12 models + transport but can still be made nasty. I'll come back with an updated list. Automatically Appended Next Post: Thanks for the feedback btw.

If you talk to your opponent they may allow some leeway for inquisition forces since any other force can take 2 troop, 1 elite or 1 fast attack, essentially leaving inquisitorial forces at a major disadvantage compared to the other codex's
As for dedicated transports I have found a psybolt'd chimera to be a great asset in kill team just for the amount of shots it can put out.

So...
DCA x 4
Acolyte with plasma gun x3
Acolyte with bolter x 5
Razorback with assaultcannon and psybolt ammo
3pts to spare. Automatically Appended Next Post: Melcavuk wrote:Poly Ranger wrote:In kill team you may pick elites. Therefore they do not need to be troops. Yeh asking for that is a good idea. Would you pick the chimera over the psyback? Automatically Appended Next Post: ductvader wrote:Poly Ranger wrote:The leader isnt a specialist. He is one of the henchmen, just like an acolyte. There is nothing different unit type wise between a DCA and an acolyte.

Sorry Ductvader just got what you meant. Yeh I did give him a special rule, when you said specialist I was thinkimg special weapon. Sorry I had missed that rule! Automatically Appended Next Post: I could use the above list but with a psybolt chimera and give a plasma gunner power armour.

The chimera is packing a higher frontal armour and two heavy bolters on it which both benefit from the psybolts. Its lower BS and not twinlinked but does cover more shots. More importantly upto 5 models can fire out of the rear hatch at a different target to the one the chimera is shooting at essentially giving you a rolling bunker.

Edit: its 13/13/10 so = 36
