So I've never even played WH40k tabletop, just the THQ DoW PC game series, but the lore fascinates me, as do the miniatures, which I have just begun painting. I got a cheap squad of Dark Angels off eBay from the Vengeance set to start out on. I have some experience painting war and sci-fi models by brush, just started trying out a cheap airbrush from Harbor Freight (double action). YouTubers like GirlPainting and BuyPainted inspired me to try my hand. Got a small set of Vallejo Model paints to start off, thinning as needed for the airbrush. I also got HarFreights Single action, which I successfully used to apply a nice grey enamel primer to the minis. So anyways, thats where I'm at...

Question: I thought I might drop an airgun BB (Crossman CopperHead) into the paint dropper bottles to help mixing. I am wondering though if it might eventually discolor the paint, or if this is just a bad idea in general for some unforeseen reason?

Thanks all!

I don't know about making the paint bad, but most aerosols have a marble or ball bearing in them to mix up the contents, and I use a glass marble in my airbrush pots.

I am no expert on airbrushes nor airsoft (while it is illegal here in Holland (although the rest of Europe is fine)) but I welcome you to the forum!

I'm no expert either. You could try asking this on the Painting and Modeling forum.

Anyway, welcome to Dakka!

Welcome to dakka. Airgun painting can be fun but when you have your models just, 'done' it gets a bit boring. Thats my opinion anyway.
