The seventh company of a Codex chapter of the Adeptus Astartes are known for their ability to be mounted entirely in Land Speeder skimmers. While this may seem unbelievable to some due to the extremely high maintenance requirements of these craft, several codex chapters do indeed boast this ability.

Captain upgrade:
Captain of the Seventh Company: +60 points.
The captain is mounted in a Land Speeder DT using the statistics blow (the cost of the Land Speeder DT is included in the price of the upgrade). In addition, the following squads' minimum unit sizes are altered using the noted costs;

Tactical Squad - One Space Marine Sergeant (14 points)
- May take up to 4 Space Marines at the normal cost
- May take one Land Speeder DT per squad member as a Dedicated Transport.
Vanguard Veterans - One Veteran Sergeant (19 points)
- May take up to 4 Veterans at the normal cost
- May take one Land Speeder DT per squad member as a Dedicated Transport.
Sternguard - One Veteran Sergeant (22 points)
- May take up to 4 Veterans at the normal cost
- May take one Land Speeder DT per squad member as a Dedicated Transport.
Assault Squad - One Space Marine Sergeant (17 points)
- May take up to 4 Space Marines at 17 points a model
- May take one Land Speeder DT per squad member as a Dedicated Transport.
Devastator Squad - One Space Marine Sergeant (14 points)
- May take up to 4 Space Marines at the normal cost
- The Sergeant counts as a Space Marine for the purposes of carrying a heavy weapon
- May take one Land Speeder DT per squad member as a Dedicated Transport.

Land Speeder DT - 50 points
Statistics and options are as a Land Speeder taken as a fast Attack choice with the following amendments;

Unit type - Vehicle (Skimmer, Fast, Chariot)
Special rules - Deep Strike, Pintle Weapon, Specialised Harness

Pintle Weapon: If the Land Speeder DT does not have a passenger, it cannot fire its Heavy Bolter (OR multi-melta or heavy flamer if that upgrade is chosen). However, passengers embarked upon the Land Speeder DT gain the Relentless special rule while embarked. It may fire any secondary weapon system as normal.
Specialised Harness: Models equipped with Jump Packs only count as a single model for determining whether they fit in the Land Speeder DT's transport capacity.

Edit - Clarification: According to the Forge World rules for the Sky Talon, multiple vehicles carrying members of the same squad have to stay in squadron coherency while the other models are embarked, and all models must disembark at the same time. For purposes of Combat Squads, the land speeder pilots are one combat squad, and the disembarkable gunners are the other combat squad (so yes, a single-man tac squad has combat squadded into a land speeder pilot and a land speeder gunner, who can disembark to secure terrain).

I'm a bit confused on all of this. You say that each squad can take a Land Speeder DT per squad member, does this mean that each unit can take 10 Land Speeders? Imagine how expensive that would be to create.

Personally, I think it's a ridiculous idea, taking a single member and having to take a Land Speeder for every additional Marine in the unit. The issue of having multiple vehicles transorting a single squad raises a number of rules problems. I'd just scrap the idea and start over, doesn't have to be this complicated, just allow a squadron of Land Speeders to be taken for every Tactical or Assault Squad in the army, without taking up an FOC slot.

That gives you too many marinesrs though, since every land speeder also has its own marine crew. It doesn't give you the mobility that the seventh company should have (because those land speeders can't score), it still doesn't lend you carry your entire army in land speeders because you need boots on the ground... not really sure how "just give them extra land speeder squadrons" really fills the requirement of "mount the entire army in land speeders" at all.

I don't see the confusion? Of course every squad can take ten land speeders, if it's a ten-strong squad. It's silly and ridiculous, but 40k is - and that's why I made it so you can take one-man squads, so you can actually have a chance of building the army.

I don't see the problem with multiple vehicles transporting a squad. The existing rules state that multiple vehicles carrying members of the same squad must stay within squadron coherency until they drop off the units.

Hm. Do need to make one edit. Each squad should have max models 5 - the other 5 in the tac squad have to stay in the speeders to pilot them!
