Rules state that the combined pair, (storm bolsters under each Guantlet) can be fired with the range stats below.

24" STR:4 AP: 2 Assault 2

Does it mean each pair can be fired for a combined 2 shots or each glove fires 2 shots for a total of 4.

They're already combined to give 2 shots.
You can't fire them twice.

If it's both shoot a total of 2 shots you get 2 shots, if it's each weapon fires twice you'd still only get 2 shots as calgar doesn't have permission to shoot more than one weapon.

Personally, without reviewing everything involved because I no longer have that luxury and shouldn't even be posting right now, I would have to say that you only fire 2 shots and not 4. This is because the weapons are described as storm bolters, but the profile provided is clearly much better then a standard storm bolter. I feel the bonus number of shots and the lower AP are representative of both weapons firing as a single 'volley' without needing for us to double up the profile.

Otherwise, why not just state the model gets to fire both storm bolters in a single shooting attack and simply let it use the standard profile?

After reading the codex, it's clearly said that the pair fires together with the following profile (...), not each of them

Unless they have changed it in the latest codex (and thus rendered both current models obsolete), they're only bolters attached to the gauntlets, not storm bolters.
