Daemons are completely random. You could have an amazing game one day and think to yourself "Wow! All those random tables I rolled on really helped me win that game!" only to play another the next day and say to yourself "Wow... That game was horrendous and everything I did was right, but the Tables bloody hated me!"

That being said, I love my Daemons so far. I have a good 3k points of them and just recently added Fateweaver to the mix. I was winning consistently when I tried, and having fun when I just wanted to enjoy the company. The Dex was "ok" but could have been a LOT better with the weapon selections and upgrades available to most of the units. There is still no reason for taking certain things, even when you want to play for giggles, and a lot of other things are pretty random (Daemonic Instability anyone?) Nothing like watching a horde of Blood Crushers get banished or a squad of Pink Horrors get all their models back, just when you were about to shoot the feth out of your opponent from other sources later.

The Slaanesh greater daemon from FW in appoc is probably the scariest thing on the planet =/
