He usually runs a squad or two of Ravenwing in his Dark Angels, but would like a whole army of them, and is looking to exploit Khans Army Wide Scout

This is for a 1000 point local tournament that is pretty competetive, but he isnt looking to win, BUT not get steam rolled.

Any suggestions are welcome.

just 1 question how big is the chance he faces deamons ?
becouse all the grav weapons turn into waisted points vs deamons and he will be roflstomped

In the 30 people playing, there isnt one Daemon Player. About 22 Marine players of various Creeds. Couple of Tau. Couple of Guard. Couple of Eldar. Couple of Guard.

Looks fairly solid. Although only 2 melta will be a problem.

I'd have 2 melta squads and 2 grav squads, personally

Lone speeders are an easy kill point. Especially when you have to roll up to 24" with them. I'd rather the attack bikes, thb.

Also, I think your points are off on the bike squads? 5 bikes, + 2 grav are 135 points, not 150 like you have listed.

Is that an upgrade for a sargeant? Dont bother with it, waste of points.

You are 100% right, my Bike squads all have Melta Bombs and Combi on the Sarg's. Well Spotted.

I intended to run the LandSpeeders as a pair, as a squad. But they are so easily killed it makes me hurt. But the models are so swish.

Would you drop the Speeders, keep the company command squad, and wack in some more attack bikes?

I'd cut the command squad for a regular squad. Almost 200 points tied up in non-scoring bikes is alot for a 1000 point army.

If you kept them, i'm sure you'd do fine. Its just something i'd be really hesitant to do.

I will probably end up playtesting both out. But you are right, it equates to a decent sized scoring bike squad or some shiny toys like a Storm Talon or something.
