Flames are black decals over a white background to have the flames show up.

Wow these are absolutely fantastic, I'm really digging the helmet but I don't like the silver on the back of the terminator's legs, that's literally my only gripe. Your bases are beautifully done, if not a little cliché for Salamanders, and your Lightning Claws are fab

They look fantastic, love how you did the heads.

I cut terminator heads down the middle laterally and replaced the top half with Lizard Temple Guard heads with some of the back half trimmed down. The eyes you see are actually the lizardman eyes rather than the Terminator lenses. They line up perfectly.

Other bits used: Lizardmen Stegadon, Ork Deff Dread (dorsal spikes) , Grey Knights Terminator squad, Tyranid Hive Tyrant, and Chaos vehicle sprue. Spellcrow loincloth and Dark Art Miniatures bases. Flames are decals made from Testors decal kit.

I am slowly becoming a "Closet Salamanders Fan", I find them honourable, straight forward and compassionate. I think coolness aside, they seem the most human, whilst looking the least human.

I especially love the bases

Awesome. What I like the most is the sense of depth you've captured. Especially looking at the gold skulls, chest emblems, and hands.

I was thinking adout doing something similar, and now I definitely am. do you think it would work without chopping the termie helmets?

Its from the head of a hive Tyrant. I wanted it to look like the blade was actually a talon or fang of some giant lizard that he slew.
