Hi guys I need some inspiration fr basing my dark eldar, previously I have used vallejo black lava drybrushed with light grey with grass tufts but this time I want to maybe keep a black base with a sickly green glow (like they're in commoragh) any idea how I would go about that? Any other suggestions or inspiration is very very welcome although I don't want chopped up bodies or enemy parts on the bases, so any suggestions please let me know.

If you where to base the bases you could get some texture to work on. With that you can paint the bases dark angels green. Paint a light green on top. Was it with badab black (nuln oil now?) Highlight againt just slightly with yellow. The was the whole thing with the green not wash, but the green overcoat?

Or paint the bases black. Take a dark angels green and drybsursh very lightly everywhere exept where the shadows from the legs would be. Pretend there are 4 spot lights around them like on a socer stadium. Then drybrush that green with a very very light greenish yellow. Now you have glow and shadow efects and a very fast base.

Not sure if this is what you had in mind but it's a good example of a glowing green effect.
