HAHAHAHAHA-NO

I used to play Necrons and when i did i thought up this:
Have nemesor zandrekh in command barge go to the middle of one of their positions and then teleport vargard in along with biggest unit of warriors you can manage.

I am obviously a genius. Wether good or evil, well, that all depends on what I had for breakfast.

Yeap, and Zahndrek grants a court allowing you to take a Cryptek in a 2nd unit to do that 2x.

It works really well when you run Deathmarks (no Nightscythes).

Unless your opponent doesn't have anything in reserve.

Obyron with Spyders work well too. 3 MCs getting teleported by Obyron is a large unit of T6 AP2.

I used to run a teleporting alpha strike. Obyron and a Veiltek in two squads of Immortals with gauss cannons. Two triarch stalkers in the back to give rerolls. Usually had a destruction tek for the lightning field and extra shots in either squad.

Both squads would zip over to whatever needed killing right now. Triarchs soften them up, then they get lit up by 40 str 5 shots plus whatever the crypteks are packing. Usually wait to do it til the enemy has moved a bit just so they don't get overwhelmed on the enemy turn, it worked pretty well aside from the occasional disastrous mishap.

So the instant teli thing takes the whole unit into combat? For some reason I thought it was just obyron. I'll have to dust off the ol' 'cron codex and take a gander

DARP! Why did I never even think of joining my lords to the spyders? That sounds like way too much fun.
Also a great way to keep the spyders up with the scarabs.

I have done the Nemesor in CCB trick before with just a unit of 20 warriors and Obyron. I liked how it worked a lot, as Necrons aren't so good at getting across the table usually...

Lords can't attach to Spyders. It only works with Obyron because he's an IC.

If you really want to have a good mobile Necron Army, then you run this setup

Zahndrekh/Obyron
Veiltek

2x20 Necron Warriors (1 for Obyron, the other for the Veiltek)
2x10 Immortals (Gauss) or more Warriors if that's your preference

2x Monoliths.

Warriors (in or out of Ark) to protect Zahndrekh. This is my preference as it will give you a scoring unit on your board edge.
Wraiths, Lychguard, or Court, or you could be dirty and bring in an empty Bastion then deploy Zahndrekh behind it will also work.

Should be do-able on 1850ish points. Zahndrekh and his protection start on the board, and has to survive. The MINUTE your opponent brings in reserves, then you get to bring in both blocks of Warriors, and both Monoliths. This is all going to Deep Strike, and really good with Hammer and Anvil. Then on the start of your turn, both the Monoliths are going to bring in the remaining reserves through their portals, no need to even roll. Don't forget to give one of the squads Tank Hunter, or Counter Attack, using Zahndrekh. This should get you virtually all of your force in your opponents face regardless of where he is or deployment.

Problems with it are:
1 - Your opponent doesn't have reserves, which with flyers, is becoming uncommon.

2 - You end up going first, meaning you have to roll for Reserves before your Monoliths are on the table, which could potentially put your Immortals arriving from the table edge. This will only be an issue for 1 turn, unless the monoliths also don't arrive, or they die.

3 - Your opponent might actually be able to deal with the Monoliths, but he's probably not going to be expecting them seeing only Zahndrekh on the field.

EDIT: Oops, the Immortals will also have to start on the board, forgot about the reserves limit.

Telekill, just one royal court with flyer support will do to, I would play this:

Immothek
Chronotek

Zhandrekh
Chronotek
Obyron

10 Immortals w/ Gauss
5 Warriors w/ nightscythe
5 Warriors w/ nightscythe
5 Warriors w/ nightscythe

10 Canoptek Scarabs

3 Canoptek Spyders w/ Gloom Prison
1 Annihilation Barge
1 Annihilation Barge

Scarabs are there to tarpit, deathstars like seercouncil, Screamers, Beastpack => removing hit & run with Zhandrekh si ace.

The only issue here would be a Wraithknight. Solution here might be changing the Immortals to Deathmarks.

with some luck you can hit him hard in turn 2 with some flyers coming in, teleport court, Barges and a scarab charge. Opponent will be hard pressed to choose priority.

You have ruled this galaxy for ten thousand years
Yet have little of account to show for your efforts
Order. Unity. Obedience.
We taught the galaxy these things

And we shall do so again.

one of the most hilarious match's i saw being a Necron vs Blood angels game.

BA player had a baal predator hiding in the backfield turn one and the rest of his army in stormravens.

Necron player on turn one deepstrikes and immortal squad over and pops the predator. Game over.
