but I was thinking about dropping the 2 small groups of archers and getting maybe 2 more knights for my chaff knights

my deployment would be this


halberds in the middle (horde formation) with a steam tank on either side of them
the archers with wizard behind the halberds

id deploy the knights where they needed to be for counter chaff or charge blockers

the DGK's would either all be on the same flank or one group on each side so I could maybe get a flank charge on whatever comes after the halberd line

and id deploy the cannons to where they could get good shots off on enemy monsters or heavy infantry

For what you're using them for I'm a big fan of using Reiksgaurd instead of normal knights for the small disposable units. The fact that they're stubborn makes them a million times better at bogging down enemies. Charge a unit of 5 into a horde of enemy infantry and laugh as they get maybe 1 wound a turn through your 1+ save while that unit is effectively removed from the game.

Agreed with the special knights, run then 1 wide by 5 long and watch as that 400+ unit does nothing the whole game.

Also for the wizard lord take shadow or light if hes going to be buffing the halberds shadow gives you miasma and some other sneaky powers, while light can lets your halberds be I10 WS10 or kill some daemons with banishment.

I would use the two 10 man archer detachements as your chaff and the knights in either a combined large hammer unit or separate like you have them now for chaff removers/counter chargers.

I like this list i think it will do pretty well and i have to agree with the gentleman above me, light or shadow would work best for this type of list. Let us know how it does.
