Last tournament I and a friend of mine attended was a pair one (or whatever it is called in english ).
It seems that most, if not all, are 2x 1000 points and have similar restrictions, so we thought of improving our lists in case we had a chance to attend another pair tournament.
That restriction is 1 HQ, 2 Elite, Fast, Heavy and 2-4 Troops.

My list Eldar

Farseer (Jetbike, Singing Spear, Mantle)
5x DA in Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Holo-fields)
5x DA in Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Holo-fields)
5x DA in Wave Serpent (Scatter Lasers, Holo-fields)
Wraithknight

His list

Hive Tyrant (2x Devourer)
11x Gaunts
10x Gaunts
10x Gaunts
Hive Crone
Hive Crone
Tyrannofex (Acid Spray, Bettles flamer)
Carnifex (2x Devourer)

General plan was to overwhelm the enemy with fast MCs. At the same time Wave Serpents were doing great job obliterating everything (more or less ) since no one really targeted them.
Dakkafex wasn't that good. Too slow Probably because there was only 1. Tyrannofex wasn't that bad because of his 2+ armour save and torrent flamer.

What are your suggestions? We know that nids lack synapse and that's why we were thinking of not caring about it at all (MC spam) and leave grabbing objectives to the Eldar force.

If you're trying to not care about synapse, use termagants, not gaunts...they care.

I meant Termagants of course.
What about MCs?

Carnifexes need a synapse source, You'l find that either a brood of 3 warriors with a strangler or 2-3 zoeys will be necessary.

You might have to lose the tyranno or a crone for this.

There was this idea:
Hive Tyrant (2x Devourer)
Zenothroap
Venomthroap
11x Gants
10x Gants
Hive Crone
Hive Crone
Mawloc
Mawloc

But he doesn't own this models yet. Might in the future.
Is there something better? A gant/gaunt spam or something?

Just a rule of thumb...most bug lists will require 1-2 synapse sources per 500pts

agreed I think a squad of warriors is a good idea with zoeys
