So I was sitting there, thinking about my game tommorow against grey knights, and I thought to my self "hey it is really cool how eldar ride around on jetbikes in groups of 3, dakka and then run for objectives"
So then it hit me, why dont Orks try that ? I have never seen it tried out, so I got working on a such a list and this is what I came up with at 1849 points
Spoiler:
HQ
* Warboss (Attack squig , Bosspole , Cybork body , Power klaw , Slugga, Stikkbombs )
* Warbike
+ Fast Attack +
* Dakkajet
2 Twin-linked supa shootas, Additional twin-linked supa shoota , Fighta Ace
* Dakkajet
2 Twin-linked supa shootas, Additional twin-linked supa shoota , Fighta Ace
+ Heavy Support
* Big Gunz
3x Lobba
* Extra Gretchin
* Big Gunz
3x Lobba
* 2x Extra Gretchin
The idea is zooming around and shooting, charging units when you know you can win (with 1-2 squads) and then turboboosting onto objectives with whatever remains
What do you guys think ? Could a list like this work?
I cant test it out due to lack of models, but it seems like a really fast dakka oriented list

Just a hint when posting lists on Dakka don't take invidual point it's due some copyright stuff anyways just say example
+Heavy Support +
* Big Gunz (78pts)
3x Lobba
Extra Gretchin
As a example.
As for the crazyness.. yes it's suicidal crazy going with 3 and 3 in the warbiker squads You need em bigger!
You have to either A skip a ton of lootas or B reduce the warbikers Ork's can't play both speedy and mass shooty at the same time in this list you are better of with a ton of boyz instead of the warbikes. (looked from competive side)
If you want fast dakka orinated list, do as i said earlier about the lootas

Our bikers are dreadful - and I say this as a die harder biker fan with 50+ bikers in his collection.
They cost more than Space Marine bikers model for model, and we need to take an expensive and rubbish special dude to unlock them as troops.
Consider adding Biker Nobz, as this list lacks any real punch. Klaw, Painboss, Orderly, Banner are great as a boss escort. Kombi Skorchas are redonk good, seriously, so much damage for five points in the right situation I can't believe anybody ever leaves them off.
I've found multiple squad charges to be quite difficult because models from unit A can completely block off unit B from making base contact... stupid rules. When your bikers *do* assault they'll be pinged off by overwatch and then slaughtered because of INT2
I'd keep the Lootas myself, however perhaps three units is overkill. You definitely need some way to concentrate your firepower, because your bikes will be spread out across the board and unable to do it themselves.
I'd also include some grots to hold an objective on your side of the table, since the bikes will probably be hanging around their side.

@phatonic Fixed it, thanks I forget that sometimes
IMO bikes are still good, though a bit overpriced
they shoot well and they still hit as hard as boyz in CC and they are t5 with a 4+ armor, and this is more to simulate the bikerlists that are more popular with eldar/SM armies, many small units of bikers, using their movement so they can re-position them self for better shots and outmaneuver the opponent, and with them being smaller squads they are more expendable and harder to clear then just one big blob of them
what i was thinking off after I posted the list is droping all the powerclaws , and a single squad for a nob squad or upping the count to 4 bikes per squad, but I wouldnt go for more then 5 since that defeats the purpose of the idea
As for a backyard scoring unit, I think there is no room for it, since the bikes in smaller squads take up all the troop slots

Space marine bikes are firing a str 4 gun I think. They also don't have 2w. Also exhaust cloud means we can always choose to shoot and still have 4 cover, marines have to flat out for that. I think it's worth the points.. except when someone drops four riptide plates on it.
I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Normal ork warbikers got 1w

oh wow... on pg 101 it says they have 2W. In the quick summary it says 1W... pg 46 says 1W.. I've been treating them as having 2W :( Yeah that changes things.
EDIT; yeah quick google search found it, apparently a legendary typo. The 2nd printing of the ork book broke the nob and fixed the warbikers and the FAQ fixed the nob, I did kinda wonder why that nob entry was in the FAQ.
DOUBLEEDIT; Are there any other legendary typos I need to know about lol :p

Yeah, riptides seem like a terrible match-up for almost any ork list, but the Lootas should be able to deal with 1 or maybe 2 of those, and with loads of smaller squads shooting up pathfinders and fire warriors, the riptides should become a lesser threat
and with assault 3 TLstr 5 ap 5 shooting, the bikes are a great way to deal with everything except high AV targets, using their mobility to constantly re-position as the flow of the battle shifts, while the rest of the army supports and protects them.
It is a very un-Orky list in the traditional sense, but I think it has potential
