Ok so the first round of this campaign is over and i got one victory out of three. I would say my tactical errors didnt help but anyways....So far i have lost to daemons, and csm who got lucky with a daemon prince from a champ and of course space marines which i beat without a hitch. There are still necrons, and tyranids i have yet to play. So we get 250pts for the next round and our previous list has to pretty much stay the same except for upgrades.

What should i add if i want to have a chance in this campaign.
Got 250pts to add for this next round and flyers arent allowed yet.

My suggestions:
Another tactical squad in a pod.
Upgrade captain to CM and give him shield eternal (eternal warrior).
Drop the scouts, add another Thunderfire.

Idea is that everything drops in pods, while the thunderfire causes havoc from cover.

Are the units you list in your last thread still what you have to work with, or have you added more? Also, how high is this campaign going and are there other rules? When you are locking in options on the FOC you need to keep an eye on the higher points; taking the pred for your 1,000 point list won’t help you in you want to go 2xTFC + Stormraven in your 1,500 list. Also in escalation events like this, you need to keep an eye on your local meta and what people are bringing. We can give advice based on generic lists, but that won’t help if your local guys are going outside the box.

I’d make sure to leave one FA and one HS free for when you can take flyers. That’s going to be a ~250point block right there when they open up.

Unfortunately, that leaves you with one HS spot until you go 2xFOC @2k, which is a while away. And your collection has a few nice things to put there. Dev cents, your other TFC, or the pred could all work. I might go with the centurions. They have a good mix of firepower, and them, the TFC, and the snipers are going to form your firebase defending your home objective.

Keeping an eye on the future, I’d buy and paint another drop pod (sorry ) You’ll want to put either the rest of your sternguard or your dread in it. This will put you on track for a hybrid drop list. You have 3 pods, two hard hitting units for the first wave, and a tac squad for a late drop objective grab. The rest of your list castles up and pours fire across the table.

I dont mind buying a few things that i need. I knew i was going to need another droppod soon so im going to get one. One new thing that i bought lately was a libby in termy armor. Rules arent on hand atm seeing as im at work but ill look into the meta here soon. Appreciate the help this my first tourney ever so ill need all i can get.
