Would this be any good? Doesn't need to be super mega awesome, just not awful enough to buy a crazy expensive FW model.

Out of my Mind

Switch the MSS on the Overlord for a Sempiternal Weave.
Put the 5 Warriors that are in the Nightscythe into the Warrior Squad.
Bring the Nightscythe with the Immortals.

Then there are 2 options:
1 - Drop 1 Immortal and take the Heavy Gauss Cannon on the Stalker
2 - Drop the Stormtek to get MSS (if you can't live w/o it) and take the Heavy Gauss Cannon on the Stalker.

Yes this leaves you with a mere 2 scoring units, but the Warriors now become tougher than nails to kill, and they'll really take advantage of the Stalker. The Stalker works best with the Heavy Gauss Cannon because of the increased range. MSS isn't going to do much for you unless you also make that Overlord a Phaeron, the squad is just to big and easy to get around for 1 turn. Assuming you're running Gauss Immortals, then they're better off in the Nightscythe. If you're running Tesla, then they can start on the board and just have the empty Nightscythe come in.

Is the HGC that good? I figured 2 shots/AP1/Melta about made up for loss of 12 range and loss of 1 strength, might pick the HGC if it was free, but it doesn't seem 15 points better?

I do like MSS on the overlord, but worth thinking about dropping as its easy to get around when assaulted, but is good if he splits from the warriors to assault himself.

The immortals are tesla so will be on the board, and i've found 15 warriors are easier to move than 20, so the 5 would stay in the scythe. Maybe,

Any comments how the Tesseract Ark works in this list?

Out of my Mind

When I got my Stalkers, I was most excited about the Particle Shredder as we finally had another large blast from the previous edition. The thing that hurt it was the 24" range. Hammer and Anvil/Vanguard deployments put this thing out of range for a turn vs. ranged armies and aggressive armies have ways to deal with it if they think it's a threat.

Since I usually run Warrior heavy armies, I quickly came to realize that the strength in them is their targeting ability. So I switched to the HGC. It gave me a ranged anti tank so I didn't need Destructeks anymore. It really helped out with those distance deployments, by making the units arriving by NS twinlinked. With all the Gauss, I don't think I've ever had a vehicle get within 12" of a stalker for the Malta to even have an impact.

One funny thing that I did notice with the HGC is that people then ignored them. A single wound against a unit is something that most opponents didn't care about. With the Heat Ray or Particle Shredder they would just kill it.

To me, yeah they worth every point spent. The differences would be how you're using it. I run them specifically for their targeting ability. I also wasn't running Anni Barges so my opponents AT only had the one thing to worry about. You might find that it'll work better since there are bigger fish in your army.

As for the Tesseract Ark, I'm not a supporter of FW in normal games, so can't offer much in the way of tips or advice. I did look up the rules, and I think that there are much better uses for that 250 points, like more Troops, more Warriors for the unit in the NS,
or Wraiths. I even think a unit of Tomb blades using those points would work better in your list. Sure the thing is hard to kill, but it is a 250 pt Open Topped vehicle. 5HP is great but I think once the shield is gone, the S7 guns that are common in several armies these days will make short work of it.
