I sort of threw it together, anyone have ideas how to improve it in the future?

What do you feel the Ternion is bringing you at this low of a point level? Especially when he makes up a healthy chunk of available points?

I'd probably max out the pikemen, get their UA, and remove the Ternion and downgrade to a Jugger.

I like the Kodiak, but my suggestion was one point over.

Edit: Ah... never mind. I thought 4 points was a little high for one guy. I forgot the GLT is the 4-man unit and the single guy is the Koldun Lord. Still, I'm not a fan of a three-man support unit at 15 points. The clouds and spray aren't bad, but I can see someone just shooting them off the table or getting through the minimum unit of pikemen pretty easily.

pIrusk loves Reinholdt and Sylys but Kirbinator is right, you need some oomph in this low point matches, so I´d go:

The gameplan is easy too. Run everything forward, feat when you expect the first casualties and laugh in your enemys face.

I was looking for some models before the match, so I was more or less stuck with the Ternion (who lasted three turns, before dying).

But I had to play a battlebox battle anyway, so I didn't even end up using Irusk, I used Butcher instead.


I do like that list though, now if only I can get a pair of IFP.....


EDIT: Actually, some advice against Trolls would be good too.

Hah, trolls vs khador is like seeing which color paint dries faster: red or green. They are both built for attrition, both are infantry focused, I think khador infantry generally hit harder with our piles of damage buffing but the trolls have tough on everything so they are going to be a little more survive able.

Best advice is to target their beasts and support units like the chroniclers, krielstones, and fell caller, similar to how you fight menoth. They will have a hard time in small point games because they will be forced to bring multiple beasts to generate fury and donate to the stone so you will likely out number most troll lists at 15 points.

It was a hard match seeing as I had to use the Khador battlebox so they outnumbered me

Yeah... Hordes battleboxes tend to do better than Warmachine ones. Where they thrive off of their beasts, we typically don't really get along with multiple warjacks outside of a small handful of casters.

How did it go? Khador battle box is rough but once their heavy is down you should have a solid advantage since they lose a lot of hitting power without it. The good thing is that both of khador's starter heavies can put down any of the troll beasts in melee combat and sorscha has some solid spells against them, although not a whole lot of hitting power herself.

Trolls don't get a heavy in their battlebox, at least I didn't. pMadrak, Axer, 2x Impalers.

Yup I fought the dual Implaer axer list.


I used Irusk and I lost against it. Two days later I used Butcher. My opponent left Madrak within 10 inches of him with only one fury point on him. And I still had my feat.

Needless to say, I won that game. It was a good torney day, played five games and won four. (We were using battleboxes because it is the first day of a journeyman league.)

The thing I like most about the Trolls list is that swapping one Impaler for the Mauler instantly makes it a solid 15 (14, technically) point list.

Aye, they work wonders against infantry with Madrak's feat too.

Oh yeah. My Mauler went on a Shredder feast last night playing against a 15pt Legion list (add Forsaken to battle box).
