I just picked up a plastic Daemon Prince from a trade. It has the 40k back piece which is just the two spikey things sticking out. I was looking into other bits to use for wings instead of the normal DP wings. I was looking at maybe the Hive Tyrant wings, or dragon wings from GW Website http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat1300205&prodId=prod1290031

Anyone have any experience with a different set of wings for the DP?

The dragon winds fit very nicely with not much green stuff needed. I used tham on my DP.

The dragon wings fit pretty much perfectly on the old metal / finecast prince as shown in Ban's image, as the prince was designed to fit them. As for the plastic one it's going to take a bit more work but I can't see any reason they couldn't be integrated. I'm planning on using the lord of change wings on my tzeentch prince from the plastic kit but I'm not quite there yet looking at the lord of change I have though those would fit nicely too.

Balrog Wings are an option too, but they are on the larger end.

Honestly, any wings will work, but most of the popular ones (DP, dragon, hive tyrant) are difficult and expensive to get hold of, as they're so popular.

GW does have a surprising number of options as bitz if you search their site for 'wings' and they don't actually stack up too badly for cost, thanks to the demand on the secondary market.

They look pretty massive, but could be pretty sweet
