Does he go to war with other kabals, our mainly just the kabal of the black heart?

When you say, "go to war with," I take it that you mean does he only lead the Kabal of the Black Heart into battle, and not other Kabals. In that case I would say yes, although he would certainly enlist other Kabals to bolster his forces if he was planning a major realspace raid or inter-kabal war. He wouldn't go anywhere without his own Kabalites though IMO.

Ok this is great info. Fluff wise on the tabletop I want Vect. Didn't know if it would make the most sense to paint my army Kabal of the Black Heart.

Yes, I meant go to battle with other Kabals. Thanks for the insight.

Just because you use a special character that in now way officially impacts your painting choices. You can paint and call your models whatever you want. If any one asks why you run vect the answer of because I want to should suffice.

But if you really need a fluff reason then the character isn't really vect the. It's veck. Vect's clone that escaped from his homonculus handlers and has all the same skill sets. However this has been kept a secret from Vect until the time is right to do a complete bodybbody swap.

I'm not justifying this to anyone. I want to run VECT. If it doesn't make sense for vect to lead a raid with a Kabal other than the black heart, I don't want to do it.

Vect would be just fine running with another Kabal. Particularly if he's manipulating them towards some end goal, such as thinning their numbers because they've become a threat to him.

Any time he feels like it. The only person who could ever tell Vect what to do was Lady Malys, and she decided to take a holiday in the Webway and let him grow for a while without the apron strings.

No, she wasn't in the previous codex.

She was made up for the current one. Her schtick is only what is written in that book (until they change it or get rid of her in the next).

Odd, she's there.

Basically, she's the only Dark Eldar who is as intelligent and conniving as Vect. She's also his ex. The only one, in fact, of his exes to survive dating him (he killed the others, she outsmarted his assassination plan).

She then wandered the Webway for a while to give things back in Commoragh some time to cool off, during which time she met a djinn - some kind of warp spirit - and bested it in a game of wits, before ripping out its heart and replacing her own with it.

Yep, she's so badass she gave herself a heart transplant.

Oh, and she fights with a glass sword and a steel fan.
