So pretty much the autarch, since he cant join a unit with the mantel, just runs around and causes an annoyance, he'll most likely die every game, which is why my farseer is the warlord. The rest of my army just stays in a big clump, and are very maneuverable and fast. The farseer is with the banshees in a serpent, able to cast spell on any other friendly units or enemy . The warlocks are each with a guardian squad, and able to cast their walock powers. The serpents have my anti tank b-lances, and the fire prism for extra fire power. And of course the guardians can pop out of a serpent and blast down units.

I wanted to make this llist fun to play and with the autarch runing around being hard to kill and the farseer and warlock psychic powers, as well as such a speedy and maneuverable army, I think it should be. Haven't tried it out, so let me know what you guys think, and any changes I could make to it.

Another question I had was peoples opinions on the shruiken cannons on the jetbike squads, worth it? How many should I take, ect.?
And opinions on striking scorpions vs. howling banshees? I own both units, only put the banshees in the list because they are slightly cheaper and cause fear.

Your not allowed to post individual points costs for the upgrades, please edit

also for your list, it needs a few, but necessary changes.
1) All eldar wave serpents need to be equipped with scatter lasers. Its like the #1 rule for serpents.
2) banshees are bad. if you relize that and still want them go ahead. If you didnt relize that, remove them.
3) remove spirit stones from serpents and fire prism, and remove shuiken cannon from fire prism. Then get holofeilds for every serpent.
4) get shuiken cannons on the serpents over shuiken cannons on the bikes. why? because the shuiken cannon will be tl on the serpent.

sorry bout the format, fixed now

why no spirit stones? they pretty cheap, and wouldnt I want my vehicles to always be able to move and shoot, or at least move
and the shruiken cannon on a serpent isnt tl unless its the main wepaon

Scatter laser makes it tl, and the scatter laser will hit 99% of the time. Yes spirit stones are cheap but holofeilds are much much better and only 5 points more.

The list looks pretty good to me.
Simple, effective.

Scorpions might be my favourite elite choice in the Eldar codex (I don't count Wraithguard/blades as I always field them with Spiritseer ). I would field them because as Banshees excel against Marines,
Scorpions have better chances overall with Mandiblasters and S4 in CC.

Five bodies will not change the game so try to have the points for something like 8-10 and they become a bigger threat. But five will do if they must.
Oh, and always take the Exarch with a Claw. It's worth it.

So your planning to have a small unit in Serpent with Farseer?
Personally, the Guardians would benefit more of him, because:
- Farseer doesn't want to get in CC. He can handle himself, but his role is supporting your whole army
- Shuriken Catapult + Guide (+ Doom if you're lucky) = massive death.

Just remember when people deal in absolutes take it with a grain of salt...
The current meta supports Wave Serpents with TL Scatter lasers as they twin link everything else. The cannons are nice for range and S6. Holofields add one to your jink and cover which is boss. Spirit stones are nice but if you are min.maxing points most people won't do it. Just remember though that you want to have fun in your games so you should play what you want. If you want to run assaulty things Banshees took a nerf this edition. Scorpions are good, if you want to run them you may consider Karandaras with Farseer as this unit with exarch with power claw is pretty boss. But ultimately it depends on your play style. Just remember the mantle is cool, but anything that ignores cover can gack it pretty fast - Hive Guard ex
Mirror swords don't tend to be as good as the dual staff. Another cc option is Harlequins with Karandaras and seer.. Have fun and explore

Another thing I'm wondering is the size of the jetbike squads, would 6 (7 with the warlocks) be good size units?
Bigger units? smaller ones to free up points elsewhere? (maybe for a squad of 10 scorpions or something)

or would I be better off getting rid of one of the guardian squads in the serpent and the serpent, as that takes up a good amount of points?

It really depends on what you want to do. If they are just for objective grabbing then just run 3 man squads without warlock. The warlock is pretty pricey now. If you want to make them more durable you can make them bigger. Just remember unless you get the +1 to armour save helldrakes will rape them.

should I take the autarch out at 1500 points to make room for other things? and I could add him in at higher point games
although he's kinda one of the coolest and funnest things about this list I thought, so I'm hesitant to do that, but I'm just afraid he'll get blasted turn one or two and just be a waste.

I guess i think my choice is at 1500 points what's worth having. should i remove the warlocks or the autarch? and then I need to beef up the scorpions and fix the serpents configs. I dont think I want the jetbikes for just objectives, they have t4 and 3+ save and tl cataputs, and as saim hann I kinda want them as the center of my army, so then the other question is to beef up those squads as well or leave at 6.

and other thoughts on farseer in a wave serpent with scorpions as opposed to on a jetbike or with a group of guardians in a serpent?

and thanks for all the help

I would make these changes to still keep it fun, but make it more dangerous.

1) drop the shard from autarch, as he has hit and run doesn't worry about being locked in combat, and 9/10 his I6 is more then enough.

2) turn spirit stones into holofields.

3) turn banshees into scorpions with exarch with claw.

4) drop all upgrades other then holofields from the prism.

5) For the serpents, it depends on BL or SL, if they are taking nothing other then AV14/13 spam with metric crap tons of lascannons then yeah BL are the way to go so you keep the serpent shield up to protect for pens, but most places/people don't do that so SL are the way to go.

But most importantly, YOU PLAY THE WAY YOU WANT WITH WHAT YOU WANT, AND HAVE FUN!

so, I've made quite a bit of changes, and re-written my list. And would love some feedback on it, should I post it here, or start a new thread?
