I always add the caveat that im not the greatest modeler/painter so this is some ways a feat more so of endurance, commitment, and financial logistics! but after a year of turmoil I finally finished an entire SM company and supporting Auxilia, Mechanicus and Inquisitorial forces making special effort to hunt down rogue trader pieces where possible mostly because this was so heavily inspired by the chapter photo on the inside cover the 3rd ed SM codex and the old RT battle-scenes and armies.

Fantastic collection. I still love the 2nd edition era look of the models (blue/red with the green bases). One heck of a collection that not many of us have the dedication to complete. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

All those old school Marines, bright colors, and the metal Thunderhawk to boot? You're a man after my own heart. Even if you're not the best painter by your own admission, that's a hell of an army you've got there, and they look great arranged on that table!

I absolutely love this army! It is so characterful and interesting. It takes me back to the days of 2ed when things were more interesting and different if less streamlined. You really knocked this out of the park. Plus you get bonus points for having 2ed arbite models in your army. I freaking love those sculpts

Exalted!
