So I'm pretty new to 40k and have just started putting together a Chaos army, I will likely just be playing friends so want an army which is fun and varied but would also like it to be semi competitive.
Below is the army list I am thinking, how would you guys improve it? Can you see an obvious weakness? To begin with I will be playing Dark Eldar and Dark Angels. Any help is appreciated
HQ
Chaos Lord - MoK, AoBF, Juggernaught, Sigil of Corruption, Melta Bombs (175)
Troops
10 Chaos Space Marines - Autocannon, Plasma Gun (170)
8 Khorne Berzerkers - Champ w/ Power Fist, VoTLW, Rhino (230)
Elites
7 Plague Marines - 2 Plasma Guns (198)
6 Plague Marines - Meltagun, Melta Bombs, Rhino (194)
Fast Attack
2 Spawn - (60) These will run with the Lord
Heldrake - Baleflamer (170)
Heavy Support
2 Obliterators - MoN (152)
2 Obliterators - MoN (152)
Thanks Again!

Overall it looks good, you've included some of the best units from the CSM codex (Heldrake, Obliterators, Plague Marines, Juggerlord with Spawn), but one problem as I see it is that your troops aren't really great at taking and holding objectives. Berzerkers want to run in people's face, and they die fast. Regular CSM are also pretty meh.
Your plague marines are great, but sadly they're elites, and can't take objectives.
Would you be willing to drop the berzerkers for 3 more spawn to run with your Lord, as well as 20 cultists? (in one or two units)
Would you then be willing to drop your CSM for a Nurgle HQ, and make him the Warlord? A sorcerer with ML 3 and Terminator armour would cost less than your marines, and would unlock your PM as troops. You now have 3-4 troop choices instead of 2.
You also have enough points to add in an aegis defense line to place your Plague Marines and Cultists behind. If you add a Comms Relay, which will help you get your drake and Deep Striking Obliterators on the board, I think you should have enough points left to give the sorcerer a spell familiar. I thiink you might be able to get a Quad Gun instead, for some AA.
Just my two quick cents though, and I don't have the Codex with me so I might've messed up some point costs or rules

Well juggerlord if fun, but just play him knowing that he wont hold a candle to the swarm lord or other 300+ point MCs and FMCs like Be'Lakor. Just know his limits. Berzerkers cannot prosper with a rhino to transport them. They need land raiders. Plague marines are fun and all with how resistant they are to small arms fire, but offensivley, all they offer is bolters themselves. Not very scary. So you're spending a ton of points on these guys but your lord is a khorne worshiper so the PMs cannot cap points. So all that defense has no tactical advantage, just to be used for combat. Your opponent will not cower in fear at the thought of 10 bolters firing at him for yet another turn. He will at the thought of being unable to remove you from an objective. What I'm trying to say here is mono-god lists are the way to go. You cannot go khorne without using a ton of points on 2 land raiders, and you cannot go nurgle without spending a lot of points on offensive power that PMs really lack.

Thank you both for those very useful reply's, you have made me completely rethink the army I want to make. All your points are valid and I can now see the big weaknesses in this list.
Anyway, I am thinking of going mono god now as suggested. Here's the 1850 point list I am now thinking about, it seems a lot more focused to me. Again I look forward to hearing any improvements etc.
Typhus
5 Terminators w/ MoN, 5 Combi-Melta, 2 Powerfists
7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma Guns, Melta Bombs, Rhino
7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma Guns, Melta Bombs, Rhino
7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma Guns, Melta Bombs
25 Plague Zombies
Heldrake w/ Baleflamer
5 Havoks w/ MoN, 4 Autocannons
2 Obliterators /w MoN
2 Obliterators /w MoN
I plan to have Typhus deepstrike in with the terminators, this should get him up the table quickly and adds a bit of fun! With the Combi-melta's they can then blow up something which scares me when deployed, leaving them close enough to hopefully get into assault the turn after.
The plague Zombie are there to guard the home objective while the Plague Marines get out to the others. The Havoks and Obliterators will be providing heavy support wherever needed on the battlefield, oh and the heldrake flying around flaming as much as it can!
This list looks like it will be fun to play, with enough variation for me. Interested to know how you would improve it from a competitive point or tactically play it though.

This list looks really good, I don't have anything to say besides there is always room for MOAR HELDRAKES but I really don't see anywhere to just pull 170 points, and it's not like you need some serious AA against DA/ DE so MEQs and wet tissue paper elves should die like fruit flies. Much better list than the OP list, IMO.
