Hey folks.

I'm here to learn about playing 40k. I've been into the lore for years, my first encounter was the Bolt Thrower Realm of Chaos CD cover (also my favorite band). I love the setting, read the books, gawk over the miniatures. Years ago I started painting casually, my first time doing anything artistic along those lines. But I didn't play at all, didn't think I had the time or money. Well after a few years of not doing anything with the hobby, my wife of all people has convinced me not only to start up the hobby again but to actually learn to play. I still don't think I have time or money to make it work, but I'll give it the old college try. I hope I'm not too much of a bother with questions, I don't have the rules or anything to refer to yet.

Man thats awesome! Welcome!

Maybe you can even get your wife to play too, I got into the hobby only because a friend who lived a minute walk away started. Its always nicest to have someone close you can play/strategize with!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
