Would Terminators with Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields, or the cool new Sentinels be the best choice for the hand to hand heavy for a army list. Also if I went with the Termies should I attach a leader? Or is there a choice I'm missing?

Honour guard dude. I used to love terminators but these days with the xenos being so powerful there's no point in them. Get a unit of honour guard and put whatever you want in there

Hell take tigarus and buff them to gak and watch them go

Tigurius is a hell of a good buff unit. He can cast tons of psychic powers, but he's best used blessing units and the like. Centurions with grav-weapons are really good at killing monstrous creatures and heavy infantry, and really durable too. I don't feel as confident in the punchy ones. Honor Guard are neat but I wouldn't put much credence in them. Terminators don't really need an HQ attached, since they're already probably going to smash anything you throw them at. If you really feel the need to, attaching a Terminator Chaplain is pretty cool, and the model is awesome.
