Hello everyone! I just recently bought the starter set for Freikorps, and have played a few games so far. What I am wondering is what I should purchase next. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would compliment this crew best? One thing I have noticed is, although the freikorpsmenn can do some ok damage in Melee, they lack any really heavy hitters. Thanks in advance

I'd put taelor and johan at the top of that list, two versions of heavy hitters, depending on situation and points budget, both with awesome melee range and damage. I haven't looked at the strongarm because it's still been in beta, but that's the obvious in-theme heavy hitter.

Killjoy is brutal but expensive; I'd avoid the Nothing Beast outside of Tara's crew: too fragile w/o her support.

The Freikorps have only the one heavy hitter in their themed crew, the strong arm suit. And he is a heavy hitter, but still maintains the versatility that is prevalent in the Freikorps forces. He can shoot and move and make adjustments.

I would 100% suggest the SSA.

overall the Freikorps struggle to deal massive amounts of damage, but between their armor, the steam trunks healing and a librarian, they can be really tough. Add in VS hard to kill aura and WP bonus and I find Freikorps a wonderful denial force that has hard counters to most opposing crews.

When I use my Freikorps I just about always stay in theme and make use of the SSA, a specialist and either Hannah or a Librarian.

Thanks for the input guys! In response to Dainty, I have been looking for a Hannah model, but as of yet have been unable to find one. If you can help me out on where I might be able to pick one up, I would very much appreciate it

There's a LE Hannah from the Kickstarter which hasn't been sent yet, the regular sculpt hasn't been put on the release schedule yet. Looking at other releases and what's in the rulebook, I expect she'll be in the plastic Friekorps box and released shortly afterwards as a separate kit.

Also, Lazarus got added to the Freikorps, so you could add a grenade launching, guild hating robot to your ranks!
