I never really realized how great Blackheart seems for an assault army, but now that I think about it, master of deception makes him pretty much an auto-take for my playstyle. For his model I will be converting the the DA power sword/plasma pistol sergeant from Dark Vengeance, giving him a CSM power fist with a hole drilled in the middle and gussied up, and the power axe from the Chosen also in the DV box. I may give him a different head since I'm running him as Aurelius The Abbot, the warlord of my warband who are basically evil cannibalistic space monks. Anyway, here is the list:

1500 Points Chaos Space Marine Warband with Daemon Allies

Primary Detachment
HQ:
Chaos Lord*, terminator armor, lightning claw, power fist, mark of nurgle 144
Huron Blackheart** 160

TROOPS:
x15 Chaos Space Marines***, power sword, x2 melta guns, x2 close combat weapons, mark of khorne, icon of wrath 294
x6 Plague Marines, combi-flamer, x2 flamers, chaos rhino with combi-flamer 209

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Chaos Predator, lascannon sponsons 115
Chaos Predator, lascannon sponsons 115
Chaos Predator, lascannon sponsons 115

Allied Detachment (to hell with Slaanesh, I'm converting these crabgirls to Khornates because Bloodletters suck)
HQ:
Herald of Slaanesh **** 45

TROOPS:
x16 Daemonettes of Slaanesh, alluress 149
x16 Daemonettes of Slaanesh, alluress 149

*Joins Plague Marines.
**Joins Chaos Space Marines
***Boltguns replaced with close combat weapons.
****Joins first Daemonettes of Slaanesh unit.

TOTAL POINTS: 1495

Not sure what to spend those last points on, does the Chaos Lord get the benefit of blight grenades for being attached to Plague Marines?

A Huron Blackheart list should include bikes imo. Chaos bikers from other warbands are drawn to his banner. Its a great excuse to do some really cool bike conversions, which are some if the easiest to do in my experience. I have a Red Corsair army with 20 bikes, 12 of which are conversions. Sorry ifI sound like that guy. Of course it ultimately depends on your tactics and who you are facing.

Well like I said, I'm running him as Aurelius The Abbot, counts as Huron Blackheart. I do like Chaos Bikers though, I just can't see anywhere to fit them here because I want all my troops to be scoring.

15 CSM I feel are going to get mowed down.

The key to infiltration list is to have 3 squads that would greatly benefit from it if you roll a 5 or 6, but can still work without it.

My plan if I roll high was to infiltrate the two Daemonette units to get them into assault even faster, and plop the Rhino full of Plague Marines near an objective somewhere. I've never used infiltrate much though, is this a bad idea?

The upgrade to alluress is probably a waste, and a hinderence since they're able to be challenged. Just an FYI

I figured I'd throw them to the wolves when I get challenged so my Herald can help beat down the enemy unit, and to protect my unit from baddies. Seems to work with my CSM.
