I am trying to develop a non competitive list for my Tyranids. My question is whether or not the list has any synergy and how you think it would preform.

My Limitations:
I only have 35 Termagants built ( I do have 12 that are still on spurs and was thinking about building 10 with devourers).
No Zoanthropes (I would like to have some in the future)
No Venomthropes (I want at least one in the future)

Things I have but are not listed:
6 Genestealers
10 Gargoyles (not yet built)
8 Hormagaunts
8 ripper swarms

The List:

HQ:
Dakka Flyrant with electroshock grubs 240
Tervigon with electroshock grubs 205

Troops:
4 Warriors with deathspitters and barber strangler 140
4 Warriors with deathspitters and venom cannon 140
15 Termagants with flesh borers 60
15 Hormagaunts 75

Elites:
3 Hive Guard with impaler cannon 165

Fast Attack:
10 Gargoyles 60 (was thinking about dropping a warrior from each squad and adding 10 more gargoyles)

Heavy Support:
Dakkafex 150
Carnifex 120
Mawloc 140 (could be used as a Trygon if need be)

Total points 1495 (5 points extra and will probably give the Tervigon cluster spines with it)

My plan is to split the two Warrior squads and pair them with a Carnifex and bubble wrap them with a squad of Termagants or Hormagaunts to advance on the midfield. The Tervigon would stay in my backfield and spawn more Termagants and be supported by the Hive Guard while the Gargoyle and Tyrant attack a forward target of opportunity.

I will most likely be playing drop pod Salamanders with this list, but I would prefer this list to be a TAC list.

Thank you for taking a look.

Just wanted to give this thread one more chance for feedback. Thank you for any advice or thoughts you may have.

Personally I would go with the extra gargoyles at the cost of a couple warriors. When you can get a Zoanthroape add it for the extra synapse!

Personally I would drop the electroshock grubs, I don't really see their use at all.

Besides that, if you can make that Tervigon scoring by adding some gants I think it would be pretty solid.

Edit - you may need to drop a squad of warriors to add gaunts, but a scoring MC is worth it in my view

I'd drop the 2e group of warriors,
Drop the electro grubs

add 15 termagaunts, posibly with devourers
Devourers for the Tyrant and 2e carni if posible.
More gargoyles.

I'd recomend finding points to make a 30 Term blob to make the Terv a troop, most likely by "trimming" from other broods, or biomods.

Personally I'd toss the guard and pop in Zoeys, but thats just me

I'd look first at triming a warrior off each brood and dropping the Gargoyls till you get a bigger group, and add them back at higher point battles.

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I think I will go ahead and drop 2 warriors and add 10 more gargoyles.

My only fear with adding 15 more gaunts is my model limitations. If I add more gaunts it will limit the amount I can produce in game, but perhaps a scoring MC is worth it.

My next purchases will be for Zoanthropes and venomthropes. I like their potential a lot.

I tend to play a drop pod Salamanders army that runs 2-3 dreadnoughts, so the electroshock grubs were there to help with this.

Thanks again
