IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
Spoiler:

For this game I have 3 allies with 750 point armies.
Imperial Guard = Running a blob of troops
Space Marines = Running with lots of footslogged firepower
Tau = Gunline with maybe a crisis suit team

My enemies all have 750 point armies as well
Tyranids = Hoard of Gaunts with a big bad creature to lead 'em
Chaos = Some sort of cheese list he can conjure. Not sure. He is a powergamer
Necrons = Most likely some warriors in an ark with some immortals and a few wraiths.
Orks = Hoard of boys in a trukk. Some more footslogged shootas. Some nasty nobs. Oh, and probably some bikes.
(I am guessing to my enemies armies as to this is what I see them field quite often)

The scenario =
The good guys (my team) are held up in a city and have to defend it. We deploy in the city (towards the center of the board) and the enemies deploy all around us and attack.

MY STRATEGY
Spoiler:

I want to drop my Guardians down with the Spiritseer (for psychic protection) and just have them camp an objective inside our city. The Striking Scorpions will and strike at some of the more menacing looking guys. I will camp the Dark Reapers in cover and just shoot at the big stuff/any meq my enemies bring. Rangers will camp cover and just shoot at smaller squads hoping to pick them off. Dire Avengers will be footslogged and try and find a good position in cover to help defend the city. And my warp spiders will try and jump and shoot the nasty guys then jump back to safety.

Thanks again to those of you who read it. Please let me know your thoughts. Be brutally honest, I'm a scrub!

I just have to say, that the campaign and idea of this battle sounds really nice, I would have liked to do something like it soon. And the army and tactics you have for it, is amazing, got to say that I couldn't make a better list myself. You got everything covered, and with Striking Scorpions, nothing will go wrong Good luck on the battlefield.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I hope the battle goes as well as you think it will! I myself have written the campaign plus all the fluff. I have about one more day until it is finished. If you want I can send it to you? PM me if you are interested. I can give you a more in depth thing, and of course if you run it yourself feel free to change anything you are interested in to your suiting.

Biggest piece of advise would be to drop the eml. Over costed, and is out performed by bright lance and scatter lasers. Other wise looks pretty nice. I would drop reapers for a wave serpent, i have a feeling those are going to be really good in your campaign....

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.

I disagree with ninja fire keep the reapers, also the missile launcher should swap for a scatter laser.

Also pm the fluff for this it sounds great!

Good luck, and happy gaming!

Thanks for all the comments. As this is only my second post to Dakka Dakka (just joined yesterday) I am already feeling the love of this community! I myself am more interested in the Dark Reapers than taking a Wave Serpent because I don't necessarily need to rush out of my safe cover enriched city to fight anyone. I would prefer to make them come to me! But I do appreciate your input. As for the Eldar Missile Launcher, I will fully admit the only reason I picked it was because it was higher points cost and seemed like it might do well, but a Scatter Laser seems just as good! (I know, what a noob. Picking the thing that costs the most! ) And Arbiter, I would love to PM you the fluff. The campaign itself is in the final stage of its writting/editing and I hope to be done with it tonight. If you PM me before I do that though, I would be happy to just give you the fluff of it all without the rules included.

It's all in the rolls.

I agree with keeping the Reapers. You don't want Crons to gauss it down and every AT weapon be directed towards it.

Feasible,
my thoughts exactly! I assumed that I could find a good place in cover to camp my reapers and just let them go to town! Plus, my friends are kind of like fish. They go towards the shiny stuff. I know that anything with an armor value will draw all their turn 1 firepower, whether it is a true threat or not. Hehe

Lol saturation of armour is the only way for it to be effective.
