After playing around, I've assembled enough to get to approximately 1,500. I went with additional terminators with a CML instead of the command squad. The other box I went with Knights. I guess if I assign the Land Raider as a dedicated transport I'll bump over 1,500. This is using all the models I currently have except for the company master and bikes from Dark Vengeance.

I'm new at this so still learning.

HQ: Belial 190

HQ: Librarian 100
Psyker Level 2

Troops: Tactical Squad, 10 troops (including Sergeant): 200
1x Plasma cannon
1x Plasma pistol
1x Plasma gun
Veteran sergeant upgrade with melta bombs

Troops: Deathwing Terminator Squad, 5 troops: 245
1x Assault cannon
1x Chainfist

Troops: Deathwing Terminator Squad, 5 troops: 245
1x Command Missile Launcher
1x Lightning claws

Elites: Deathwing Knights, 5 troops: 235

Heavy Support: Land Raider Crusader: 260
1x Multi-melta

Total: 1,475

Other options:
- Company Master
- Ravenwing Bikers x 3

Noted. New player mistake. For some reason I thought Belial turned them all into troops so that's good to know. Also, I'm thinking I should take the Speeder back and go with a Land Raider instead.

Land raiders are good. If you want to go combined wing azrael is best but if you want to go single belial or sammael are good.

Drop the bikes from this list straight away. 3 of them for a unit will be wiped off the board easy in the first turn so that's one very easy victory point for your opponent!

Instead of them perhaps add in a librarian at Psyker level 2, if you have the points left over add in a Rhino for your tact squad and put the librarian with them, use his powers to bolster their effectiveness.

Alternatively if you don't want to run two HQ choices take a dreadnought instead and kit it out with some nice options.

Haven't got my dex with me to hand so couldn't tell you the pts value, but whatever you do don't take the bikers!!!

You could maybe even not bother upgrading the sergeant in your tact to a veteran sergeant and leave him as a standard one?

And you don't need the relic with your knights unless you are facing an army that uses psykers

Do you want to run Deathwing, Ravenwing, Greenwing, or something in between?

With your vengeance/darkshroud box make the dark shroud, the vengeance is awful

Dark Angels 1st, 2nd, 5th, 10th Companies,
~14,000 points
36-21-4

~ 4500 points of Tau
5-5-1

~2500 points of Admech 40k

~6500 points of Tyranids: Hive Fleet Niadra

@AngryHoneyBadger
Awesome tip. I played a game and the bikes were eliminated in the very first turn. Until I can fit a Dreadnought, I will run the Psyker level 2. The base DN is 100 points and it looks like it can be fairly equipped for good price. Until then, I have assembled some additional terminators from spare pieces.

@Feasible
I'm leaning more towards Deathwing because that's where I've spent additional money. Right now it's a hybrid because of the Dark Vengeance starter army. Using the above advice, except for the tactical squad I'm kicking the Ravenwing side for now.

@nwa
I'm actually taking the vengeance/dark shroud back and going with a Land Raider (Crusader I think). It can haul terminators which is a plus and I feel the need to have some bigger guns.

I will revise the original posting with the new list. I appreciate the feedback.

Good idea with taking the vengeance/darkshroud back. When you get your land raider make the crusader variant, it can carry more termies and if you want a deathwing themed army that's what you want!

Remember though it can only carry a max of 8 models in Terminator armour because of their Bulky special rule

I'm currently painting a LRC, make sure you use the spray gun to paint the bone colour it's a pain in the a$$ doing it by hand!
