OK - GW coloured sprays are £10 for 400ml & lets face it, the colour range is a bit limited.
Or you can use Liquitex Professional Spray Paint which can be found here: http://www.artsupplies.co.uk/colours-liquitex-professional-spray-paint.htm
They are £6.95 each & there are a mere 87 colours to choose from. Ok it may take a bit of thinking to get the right colour match but you've got to admit that's pretty extensive & value for money (IMHO).
I've used this site before ages ago & everything went smoothly. Didn't realise that they did these until browsing this evening.

& this is a real alternative to the GW crackle base: http://www.artsupplies.co.uk/item-golden-crackle-paste.htm
At £9.35 for 236ml (compared to GW's £2.55 for 12ml) sounds great for peeps who want to do a whole army!

I've used the Liquitex Spray colours before, once, they had free samples when they first came out.
They dry a little more glossy than I'de liked, and were a little easy to spray too thickly. But if careful work well enough.

Alternatives might be Montana spray colours,
http://www.artdiscount.co.uk/paints-mediums/spray-paint/montana-gold-spray-cans-400ml.html
(204 matte colours, with replaceable, interchangable tip sizes, and probably an accessory for mixing cans - theyre aimed at graffiti / art sort of usage I think)

Halfords do a few, just have to avoid the glossy ones (which is most of them) They have a set of 4 camouflage colours in ultramatt to make a standard cammo. And a handful of bright colours named ArtFX (I think)

Can vouch for ken bromley art supplies, and artdiscount both are my favourite suppliers I've spent hundreds and hundreds of pounds with both companies in my time.
They stock handy brushes and brush soap too
And oil colours for washes, pallets, mediums.. quite a lot of what we might need to use now and then at a good price

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

Great info HairySticks - bookmarked.
I use Halford's coloured primers to act as both a prime coat & base coat (Grey, Red Oxide & Yellow Ochre) already so already know how good a source they are. Haven't tried their other matt sprays yet though.
