Hey guys, this will be my first blog ever for me!!! Woo. So background, I purchased this thing maybe like 5 years ago way before the plastic Baneblade came out. Always wanted to restore it but it never came up. Finally decided to take it off the shelf and start working on it. Just placed orders for some sprues off Ebay for the main superstructure of the shadowsword and weapons. So we will see how this turns out. Planning on dremeling out the side sponsons and replace with the baneblade plastic sponsons and probably plasticard the sides in order to refinish the armor.

Parts should be coming in 3 days! so lets hope!

Great salvage project

I'm at the moment working on scratch building one of those, I'd appreciate all the pics you might post of it...

Good luck!

Wooo! Most of the main parts came in today! as well as my bag of goodies! So far I have dremeled off the side sponsons. I also threw it in the freezer for a bit to loosen the bonds of the GORILLA GLUE the previous owner used to get the tracks off haha.

Waiting on the call from my local GW to go pick up the sponson/asscessory sprue.

And a dry fit xD There seems to be a gap between the armor.

Still have to strip the paint off, but probably do that tonight. Gotta go to Home Depot to get some Simple Green

A new problem has arrived. I am guessing that the plastic Baneblade chassis is a bit longer than the AC one. So i am going to have to cut into the engine bay in order to fit the parts correctly, possible have to redo the whole the engine block.

Oh and my sprue arrived at my local GW so I am going into the City to pick that up once the weather allows

Very cool project! I love the shadowsword kit but it would be cool to have a more unique one like this. What are your plans for color scheme?

Its coming along quite nicely. I like how there is a gap in the sideskirts atm... It makes it look like spaced armor or something.. I dont know if il fill it with green stuff or something. I know for the back engine compartment, I am going to fill with putty and sand that down flush.
I ended up magnetizing the Vulcan Mega Bolter as I ordered the Volcano cannon from ebay Uhh. I am gonna paint her like my other tanks. Mephiston Red/Mechanicus Standard Grey two tone scheme.

Haven't updated this in a while. Most of it went pretty much straightford.. Had to dremel the rear section out alot... My basement smelled like resin for a couple of days. haha

Will try to finish it soon. xD
