155 Crone
140 Mawloc
230 Tyrannofex w/ Rupture Cannon, adrenal glands
75 Skyshield
The plan: Skyshield goes as far up as possible. Flying MCs park in it first turn and shoot at the enemy. Plain Terv and Fex run for the skyshield. Flash Terv outflanks, per hive commander. The 'thropes babysit the Guants from out of line of sight. Mawloc pops up wherever the TEQs are.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Perhaps Regen belongs on the Terv that sits with the Tyrannofex...

I may be mistaken...buy I believe Tyranids have a rule that prevents them from taking fortifications. Fix me if I'm wrong...but my local nids player stumbled upon it a while back.

You're mistaken.
There used to be an FAQ that disallowed Tyranids from firing an emplaced weapon, but that is now also gone.

Had a rule preventing them from firing the weapons in fortifications. But that was from the old 5th edition codex FAQ. We've seen nothing for the 6th ed. book FAQwise yet..

Lots of people think it was a blanket ban on fortifications. I got the question first time I mentioned taking a bastion.
It just wasn't worth it really before, expecially without being able to fire the emplacement.

It's my codex and I'll cry If I want to.

The question is, can the Terv and Tyrannofex get on top of the skyshield. It is not a building...or a ruin.

So there is nothing stopping them you're saying?

Yes they can. It counts as open terrain with the furls down so you can move up and down it.
