Looking to do some conversions. How well do the Wargames Factory Greatcloak troops match up with GW parts? I've seen different reviews say they match or they are smaller. From picks the legs look a bit thin....

Thanks for any help.

They are a tad smaller, but IMO, they're of a better scale to 40k when compared to something like a Space Marine. You'll have to get a ton of bases for them, as they come on their own molded plastic base which doesn't really work in 40k.

Thank you for the reply. So I should be safe using them mix and matched with guard....

It may look a tad bit odd, but yeah. I used many of the GW "sgt" arms on mine, and while the shoulder pad is a bit bulky, i dont think it looks all that bad.

ost of the bits will be fantasy, which seems to be a bit smaller then guard bitz. Odd.

Wargames greatcloak troops match up almost perfectly with Guard stuff/fantasy heads. They are also quite compatible with most other 3rd party bits.

Love the way those models look - they remind me of Steel Legion troops.

I talk about the models a lot and I have nothing but good words to say to be honest. Here is a link to another post where the models are examined a little more closely by myself and others.

Honestly I can't wait until the new Imperial Guard codex comes out so I can make more of these guys.
