I've been wanting to get into 15mm for so long and I just haven't ever had the funds to do FOW and I Feel after doing some research this might be the game but still Ik nothing about 15mm. Where's the best place to get them cheap and how to even go about painting them( do I prime them first). I would very much like some feedback on the issue, thanks.

For miniatures try:

There are others, i'll add them to the list when it comes to me.

Depends which side depends on how I paint them. For example if i'm painting the good old sherman tank for Europe I genrally undercoat it black, base coat it green, drybrush with a lighter green, paint the tracks, put the transfers on then muddy it, simples!

If you don't like FOW then you could try Rapid Fire for a game, its a much smoother game and gives a better feel for the period IMHO FOW feels like you're playing against the system. its too much like 40k for me.

Oh man, the first monster I see I'm going to sneak up behind him, whip out my wand, and shoot my magic all over his ass.

When looking at PSC remember the box top colours follow this code - Black tops = 15mm, Red top = 20mm and blue = 28mm

Flames of war rulebooks are not that much.you can get the minirulebook for around ten bucks of of ebay.Heck,if you went on wwpd or Bartertown and ask someone that you wanted to start playing, you probably could get one for free.Intel books are cheap, buy used.i usually get mine for 50-75 % off used in good shape.i just got the Monty cassino and Azio source books for 15 shipped off of ebay and they are in new shape.if you to generate some extra funds or models to get started why not sell or trade your extra stuff on B town?
Not sue on you area, but not many Non Fow ww2 Historical players in my area. though not sure of Chain of Command but ihave nothing but good things.

Seriously, do yourself a favour and check out the Battlegroup rules. My group made the switch from Flames of War last year and there's just no looking back. Battlegroup is so much fun and infinitely more authentic than Flames.
