Throne of skulls isn't über competitive. If you go with a cheese list you will just annoy your opponents and get 0 favorite game votes, meaning it is incredibly unlikely you will win.
That being said, as of last month it's a free for all, everything except horus heresy is allowed. in jan there was an army with a revenant and one with an Aquila strong hold (neither won).
There is no sure fire way to win. Take a list you like playing with, grab a pint from bugmans (18+ only of course) and enjoy the weekend.
