I'm looking to expand on the few bits and pieces of Warmachine and Hordes that I have to field a few viable armies but what I'd like to know is if anyone can recommend some UK websites which have good stock of models and deal in a professional manner?

I know about waylandgames.co.uk but I've never been too happy with their stock listings as they often don't have stock of models they claim they do. Any other sites that people can recommend from personal use would be great.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman

I've used firestormgames.co.uk almost exclusively ever since the "site-that-shall-not-be-named" went under and I have had exactly 0 reasons to complain about. They have excellent communication and more often than not things will be at my door in about 1 week (and it should be must faster for someone already in the UK).

Not used these guys yet but at upto 25% off and very reasonable p&p you can't go far wrong!

http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk/

Failing that, I have used Arcane before and never any probs. These guys do upto 20% off and free p&p so its worth comparing the two to see which works out cheapest!

I have no experience with UK retailers but I have heard total wargammer has a bad reputation for shipping and communication.

I have heard of dark sphere being praised a few times but, again, I have no personal experience with them.

I used arcaneminiatures once, spent 60 pounds and never received my stuff. Months of arguing included, I got neither them or my money back....

I have a FLGS which sells warmachine. They have a website, xpressgames.co.uk although the online range is rather small compared to the physical shop.

Best store to use is http://wargamestore.com/ IMO. Always have loads in stock (I assume as they more or less next door to Cerberus in Liverpool) and are always great. Downside is they don't seem to stock No Quarter. In close second I go with http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/. They are also very good and professional but I find their stock system to be a bit too hippy dippy with "available" not necessarily meaning they literally have it in the store, unlike the former.

WargamesWorkshop.co.uk is also a good choice but firestorm games is one of my favourites. Supporting the welsh open and other big events in a decent venue is great.

4TK.co.uk has a good stock and is free postage. It's my local games club in colchester so I'm biased.

Great guys

Don't buy from total wargamer they take ages to give you your stuff I think they're under investigation by trading standard

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

Thanks all for the information. I'll have a sift through and try some of the alternatives out.
