I was just thinking what to do with nobs the other day I once again lost ~500 points due to them being total pussies.

You get them as a troop choice easily, they can have a trukk or a bwagon as dedicated transport, and an unit with just 3 Kombi-Scorchas is 75 points, and it's a scoring unit. So essentially you'd be looking to cleanse a troop unit from an objective with S5 AP4 templates and then hold it for dirt cheap.

Compared to Burnaboyz they're troops and have two less templates for better AP and strenght, also more wounds (lol).

Compared to Meganobz they're 60 points cheaper, though, Meganobz are way better.

Not sure if I'm going to bother trying it out myself since I already have a bunch of burnaboyz and a burna-bomma. Just seems like something worth considering. Of course with a Trukk they already cost what 18 Shoota Boyz cost.

Just 3 Nobz? I could see that being useful if you were trying to Max out BW's.

I used to play 3 NobBikerz with Kombi/Skorchas as a harassment unit. If only they had Fearless like they did in 4th edition, then it'd be quasi viable. LD 7 is just too harsh.

i went for for a six battlewagon list on 1500 points once... 3 of them being filled with 3 nobz The nobz... actually did some use against chaos those kombi skorchas are totally worth it.

Sometimes i run:
5 nobz [1pk, 1bp, 1ha when have pts] + Painboy [Grot orderly] in a truck or wagon.
They act as a retinue to Megaboss and are doing quite good. Nice ranged durability cause of fnp, some awesome protection vs gravgunz , pack a bosspole on their own, I think that with a megaboss, even 2-3 and painboy wouldn't be worse than meganobz. 2+ with fnp is statistically not much better than plain 2+ but annoyz the opponent alot
Anywayz, their best use is to be placed on a bike. Still if you wana use regular nobz - try out this 4-5 nobz+painboy + megaboss build. Not outstanding but work quite good.
