Is there an inherent stigma attached to lists that 'spam' a particular unit or weapon? Especially razorbacks? I know the arguments against; it's unimaginative, can be overpowered, limited tactical application, etc.
It's just that I love the good old Razorback. Rolling up to an objective to drop off some infantry while laying down cover fire: just how armoured infantry works today. My current list that I'm building will have four of them (3 assault cannons, 1 lascannon), two storm talons, two vindicators and a predator with lascannons in a 1500 point game. I'm playing razorbacks because I like them, not because I think they will win me games - tau and necrons will probably tear it to pieces. I just wonder how much hate there would be about it.
It's an iron hands list as well

Are you taking full squads with them or bare minimum squads with the transports?

6 man squads, but things can be tweaked to use full squads. Currently two have vet sergeants with power weapons, 3 special weapons and a heavy bolter for weapon upgrades. Essentially they will operate as two 12 man squads for mutual support.

The list you're looking at wouldn't be considered too spammy...and while there are negative connotations to all spam lists...many argue that it makes sense to take the best viable option...it just makes for less fun for most people.
The spam version of your list would be BA with 6 Preds and filled in with Razors.

You can spam razorbacks all you like without too many sighs coming your way. Its when people start spamming units considered OP such as wave serpents, riptides, nightscythes etc that people start to get irritated. The aforementioned BA pred/razor spam isnt cheese as the units aren't overly points effective to begin with. A BA razor with assault cannon, 5 man assault squad and melta gun comes to 165pts. For 1 pt less you can get 2 razors with assault cannons and psybolt ammunition and 2 3 man units of acolytes which is of course massively more points efficient.

Who cares what others think?
My Daemon list takes 5 Flying monsterous Creatures.
My Dark Eldar list has 6 venoms, 3 raiders, 3 ravagers
Take what you want to take. It's your army, not anyone elses. Just my 2 cents.

This is absolutely true. But I have witnessed two individuals in two completely separate gaming stores who had a hard (near impossible) time finding a game because their lists were too competitive.
(I personally never have a problem playing such people)
Now, if you're like me and informal gaming is 90+% of your experience...that's a huge loss.
If you just game tournaments, it means a lot less.
This will not and does not happen to everyone who powergames...but it is a possibility.

There is a stigma but i just don't think I'd care too much if I were you. If that's whatcha got, then that's whatcha got.
Besides, my lists are all comers type lists, so I dont have a particular achilles heel against any particular force. mine plays well against all forces because it can get everywhere, has units to deal with any unit type and tools to handle the different ways people deploy etc... So I have yet to really see a list type i can't overcome with just what I normally use.
I imagine most other Generals, the better ones, over time become the same way: a toolbag approach instead of a "this is my uber ultimate strategy of doom without which I will lose" RPS type lists.
So play yo thang man. Play yo thangh. Just dont get into Stronghold and Escalation or I might have a different opinion to offer.

Spam is not, in itself, a bad thing. I've never heard anyone complain about ogryn spam, nor have I ever heard a single complaint about someone spamming 1ksons. My best games have been against players who have spammed infantry platoons or slugga mobz.
Plus, there's a certain aesthetic to spam lists that can be very appealing.
The thing that people are usually complaining about with spam is when people min/max and spam high-power units. Fluff bunnies decry that something so rare that there are only a handful in the entire galaxy has somehow found THREE of these special artifacts in your army. Competitive players, meanwhile, whine because they're taking a less-powerful list against a more-powerful list, and rather than taking pride in that they're playing the game on a higher difficulty mode, they get all snitty and derisive.
But regardless of the reasons, it's pretty clear that there is "good" spam, and there is "bad" spam.
I mean, let's here it for good spam...

Now that's some mighty fine spammage. I think a heavy mech list would be quite fluffy for iron hands successors or even Aurora Chapter. Most of my games are informal, and I don't think there is to much overpowered craziness in my list. Anyway 6 out of 9 vehicles are paper thin av11. Thanks for the insight gentlemen. Any more pics well be very well received.
