the lychguard will be with the cryptek and Obyron, these guys will deep strike across the map (thanks to obyron) and hunt elite units/transports/tanks.
so does anyone think this will work?

I like the idea of Obyron dropping into someone's backfield with a unit. However, I think that the Obyron+Lychguard unit is too pricey for this points level. They are probably more suited for games at 1750 or above. To cut costs, I would trade the Lychguard for a unit of Canoptek Spyders. Being MCs, they hit hard. That will free up 75 points right there.

The Stormtek can ride with the Immortals in the Night Scythe for more glancing goodness.

I'm not sure you need Phaeron on the Overlord as you really don't want your warriors in assault. Dropping that will save you some points.

To gain the maximum benefit of the Res Orb+GA combo, I'd combine the warrior squads into a full 20 warrior blob.

With the points you save from swapping the LG for Spyders and dropping the Phaeron upgrade, you could add some Scarabs to munch on vehicles (and they will synergize well with the Spyders who can buff them) or a second Annihilation Barge.

I'd Try to work in a Harbinger of Destruction to cruise around with the 6 warriors in the ghost ark so he can pop shots off at vehicles.

You can never have enough annihilation barges. I use 3.

That's a pretty expensive overlord. You might as well take Zandrehk at that point to get his special rules for only 5 points more. Also lynch guard are almost never worth it (as cool as they are). I'd replace Obyron and the lynch guard for a destroyer lord and some wraiths to get a much more survivable mobile close combat unit for less points, plus jump infantry are actually more maneuverable than deep striking each turn. Preferred enemy on wraiths will destroy in close combat, and those wraiths will draw a lot of fire away from your other units if your opponent realizes how much of a threat they are.

I agree with the Lychguard being dropped. It's cheaper to take a unit of Wraiths to get that 3i save to protect that Stormtek if you want to go around hunting stuff. You're not going to be charging after using the Ghostwalk Mantle.

That Overlord is fine the way he is, and that's how I run mine when not running Zahndrekh. Zahndrekh is a good alternative for 5 pts more, but he doesn't have a Warscythe and isn't a Phaeron. The Phaeron is great because your opponent is going to think he can just roll up on you, then you move up, Rapid Fire, then charge stealing his thunder. This also allows you to issue the challenge, then use the MSS from the start.

I think you should run 20 Warriors with an empty Ghost Ark for support. If you think you'll need that 3rd scoring unit, then putting 15 on the ground will work. If you switch out the Lychguard for Wraiths, then you should free up some points to keep a 5 man and still add more to the unit on the ground.

One more thing I forgot to mention. Those 5 immortals in the night scythe seem a bit squishy and not that much of a threat. I'd see if you can free up points somewhere to get the full ten who can take down troops and tanks more reliably and hold objectives better.
