I was thinking of what happens when a character on a manticore or dragon earns a roll on the chart. Does the dragon and rider get the buff?

The wording says "..that model has the reward for the rest of the game."

Just a thought.

it works the same as the marks, only that which has the rule gets the benefit.

Yeah, EYE is a special rule. A MODEL can have it or not. And a mount + rider is 2 models. I.e., the dragon has a breath weapon and the rider does not.

I thought the rules were pretty clear that a rider and mount is one model?

No, it can't be.

If one had a special rule, say, armor piercing or KB or whatever, then they would both have them.

Not only that, if you ever killed the mount, like with a cannon, the rider would still have the special rules. Like scaly skin.
